At least I got a good bit of hedge clipping and pruning done this morning otherwise today would have been a write off.

At the end of a disastrous TFF day my one hope of salvation was that my Manchester United Block League team would bring me some Christmas cheer and keep a clean sheet.

Worth doing Laporte to Tripper today? My concern is Tripper seems to be fairly injury prone but City are leaking goals for fun.

Could Lloris be a differential option for Ederson replacement or should I hold for Allison. Spurs upcoming games are decent.

After today Spurs will have played 11 away games, 7 at home. City are 10home-8away, Liverpool are 8home-10away for comparison. Chelsea and Arsenal also in the 10 at home club. Gulp.

Are Spurs really a better bet than City? Might do it where I have 2 City and no Spurs but other than that it is a tinker too far and I want to still have 10 transfers to waste for no return in the dying weeks of another failed season.

Re: TFF chit chat 21st, 22nd and 23th December
I fancy Everton to score today so I wouldn't be rushing in any Spurs defenders, and I still think the Spurs full-backs get rotated too much, which makes them too frustrating to have in TFF. I think if you want Spurs defensive cover you're best off going for Toby or Lloris. Trippier seems to be getting lots of niggling injuries too this year.
Spurs haven't played a home game for donkies years it seems, and have done well to be as high as they are, everyone looks forward to playing at Wembley. Their new stadium looks great, with fans really close to the pitch so I think it could be a much more intimidating place to play, and if they can get in there (any date for this yet, it seems to be rolling on and on?) still with a much greater number of home than away games for the run in, I'd be looking at getting in a Spurs defender or two then.
Pool have the stand-out defence this year though, and they're mostly cheaper.

For all those on the 2 for 0 Kane to Aubemeyang are you now holding or switching back to Kane ?

Interesting to see that the managers currently sitting second and third overall in TFF haven't paid for their teams and so won't be eligible for the main prizes. Would be a bit frustrating to top the leaderboard at the end of the season but win diddlysquat.

Re: TFF chit chat 21st, 22nd and 23th December
I'm 80th on the overall leaderboard but 65th for Season ticket Holders, so that's at least 15 in the top 100 who aren't eligible.
Edit - There are 25 in the top 100 in the same boat (including 4 of the top 10)
Can they still pay for a season ticket and become eligible, or has that boat long since sailed?

I made up my mind yesterday that I was sticking with bang bang and yet here I am waivering. My head says do it but Kane hasn’t looked good. The question iI need to answer is will a 80/90% deliver me at least a goal and a KC next 2 games.jobmeister wrote: ↑23 Dec 2018, 12:36 For all those on the 2 for 0 Kane to Aubemeyang are you now holding or switching back to Kane ?

They've missed the boat. To be eligible for all the main prizes, a manager had to purchase a "season ticket" by Oct 8th.edmo33 wrote: ↑23 Dec 2018, 13:53I'm 80th on the overall leaderboard but 65th for Season ticket Holders, so that's at least 15 in the top 100 who aren't eligible.

Re: TFF chit chat 21st, 22nd and 23th December
My best team is showing as 1923rd but, in reality, I only have to overtake 1253 teams to win the money.
Shows just how many free/single team entrants there are - and conversely how, in this everything for nothing(/FPL) age, us pay to play dinosaurs are a dying breed. Is it really too much to pay a tenner or so for a season's "fun" and a chance of winning the pot??

I just hope those ineligible players in the top 10 aren't getting too excited

Does anyone know what the average points per transfer ratio is ?
Or even better the points to transfer ratio of last years winner?

I've always used a rule of thumb of 10pts to justify a transfer but is probably less now we have 40 to use.Always Next Year wrote:Does anyone know what the average points per transfer ratio is ?
