TFF chit chat 15th and 16th December
SATURDAY 15TH DECEMBER
Man City 12:30 Everton
Saturday’s early fixture sees 2nd placed Manchester City hosting Everton at the Ethiad. Everton fought back to draw in their last game with Richarlison on the scoresheet and Siggy missing a penalty. The Aguero hokey-cokey continues again this season. Sane scored a brace in midweek.
Crystal Palace 15:00 Leicester
The first of the 3pm matches has Leicester travelling to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace. Palace are still hovering close to the relegation zone and are without the suspended Zaha. Leicester are hoping Vardy will be back for this weekend but Maddison has rediscovered some form.
Huddersfield 15:00 Newcastle
Uddersfield are still in the bottom three but it's games like this that they will be targeting to win. Newcastle are only 3 points ahead of their opponents and could easily be dragged into a relegation scrap. No real stand-out players in either team.
Tottenham 15:00 Burnley
Spurs are on their way to Wembley (again), this time against a Burnley team who actually won a game last time out. Harry will be looking to blow the Clarets doors off today but Tottenham had a hard fought draw in midweek, could lethargy play a part today?
Watford 15:00 Cardiff
The Hornet's roller-coaster may be on an upward spiral again after last weekend's draw away to Everton. Cardiff are up to the heady heights of 14th after picking up a couple of good results recently, though there is a bit of a gap opening up between 14th and 13th place.
Wolves 15:00 Bournemouth
Wolverhampton Wanderers versus AFC Bournemouth next. Wolves have been a bit of a surprise package this season and are now just inside the top ten. The Cherries are only a point above them, even though they had a good start to the season. Is Wilson back fit?
Fulham 17:30 West Ham
Bruce and Tarby – a London derby! Saturday's late match sees a clash between two London clubs, Fullham are at the foot of the table whereas West Ham are sat comfortable in mid-table. No Arnautovic for this one, but Chicharito is in fine form for the Hammers. Andy Carroll anyone?
SUNDAY 16TH DECEMBER
Brighton 13:30 Chelsea
The first of Sunday's early matches has Chelsea travelling to the South Coast to take on Brighton. Chelsea are blowing a bit hot and cold this season and played without a recognised striker last weekend. Brighton have goals in them in the shape of Murray and one Andone.
Southampton 13:30 Arsenal
The second of Sunday's early matches has Arsenal travelling to the South Coast to take on Southampton. Arsenal are currently sat in the Europa League spot but could leap into the top four if results go their way. Southampton have David Hasselhoff in charge for this one.
Liverpool 16:00 Man Utd
Last, but by no means least, it's the weekend's big match, featuring top-of-the-shop Liverpool versus getting-cut-adrift- from-the-top-four Manchester United. How long will Jose last in the Old Trafford hot seat? A win here could really help his cause. Liverpool have a plethora of riches in their side.

Thanks for the write up again morganb. It breaks an eerie silence on here. Everyone must be Christmas shopping. Never mind, whilst they are all distracted this weekend, I intend to stealthily make up the 150 points I need to top the table.

Re: TFF chit chat 15th and 16th December
Could shake things up with the near-defensive-crisis at Liverpool assuming most teams on the leaderboard are heavily loaded or even blocks.
Gomez and Matip out for about 6 weeks and TAA being out, probably, too but for an unknown period. Milner at RB again is my guess with Clyne getting some time. Only 3 defenders worth having in TFF and one is Lovren for 6 wks only(?).

If you are right Murf, I only feel even more hopeless given that my 2 Liverpool blocks / loaded teams are scraping top 3k at best. Clearly my other choices are poor!
Lovren you say.....I just can’t ...lol

Re: TFF chit chat 15th and 16th December
My Liverpool block is only about 3k. Lots of transfers in hand though. Few defensive tweaks needed in first 4 months but not benefited enough by using them as bonus tinkers up top.

Snap. Maybe I should consider a bold move to a Chelsea block through to January and downgrade one of my expensive underperformers with an Fraser/Anderson or the like. Hmmm.

Plenty of opportunity for those City subs to come on in the last 20 minutes against a tiring defence and grab some points (I hope)

Bit annoying but it doesn’t make any sense to do anything about it. I’ll start the “points from the bench” prediction sweep...6pts

Why rest him and bring him on when inevitably 3 up by half time. More sense to give Aguero, KdB and Foden minutes.

Hoping Aguero stays on the bench and I'll take Aubameyang's two next games before bringing Sergio back.

I did a tour of the XXXX factory in Brisbane. The headline beer is fizzy pop but they had some lovely alternatives at the end-of-tour bar.

Trying to decide whether to swap Trippier to Anderson for the late game. Both teams with some good fixtures. Hmmm.
