TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th November
SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER
Bournemouth 12:30 Man Utd
This Saturday's early match sees high-flying Bournemouth welcome 8th place Manchester United to the Vitality. Bournemouth have an impressive strike force at the moment (is King back from his injury?) whereas Utd are fairly mediocre at present though Tony Martial has hit a bit of a purple patch.
Cardiff 15:00 Leicester
This game has been confirmed as going ahead and will therefore be played under difficult circumstances after last weekend's sorrowful events.
Everton 15:00 Brighton
At Goodison, Brighton are the visitors. Everton are a bit unpredictable at present, meanwhile the Seagulls have become tight at the back and have a couple of recent victories to the name. As always, Murray has been Brighton’s go-to man for goals.
Newcastle 15:00 Watford
It's that time of the week again when you have to think of something to say about Newcastle. Nope, nothing. Watford's rollercoaster of a season continues, they are currently on the up with a couple of wins in October.
West Ham 15:00 Burnley
The Hammers will be glad to welcome their goal-scoring talisman, Marco Arnautovic, back into the match day squad for this fixture against Burnley. Dyche's men have been poor this season, a fact that can't really be blamed on their early foray into Europe.
Arsenal 17:30 Liverpool
Saturday's not-quite-the-late match sees two of the big guns in action. Arsenal are on a terrific run of results but they still trail Liverpool in the table. Klopp has subtly adjusted his formation which appears to have revitalised Mo Salah recently.
Wolves 19:45 Tottenham
Saturday's actual late match see Spurs travelling to Molineux stadium to play their 3rd game in a week, this time against a Wolverhampton Wanders team who's form has tailed off recently. Harry is on a poor run but today is an opportunity to blow a few more doors off.
SUNDAY 4TH NOVEMBER
Man City 15:00 Southampton
Sunday's not-as-early-as-usual match sees top of the table Manchester City being visited by a poor Southampton side. Southampton are not afraid to shoot, they are just not very good at scoring. City are their usual ruthless selves, but KDB looks to be injured again.
Chelsea 16:00 Crystal Palace
Flange. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing when matches are too close together. A London derby to boot. Chelsea are one of three unbeaten teams in the League and will be looking for another win here against a Palace side who know how to win and score a penalty or two.
MONDAY 5TH NOVEMBER
Huddersfield 20:00 Fulham
The MNF features a true bottom of the table clash between the Championship play-off winners from the previous two seasons. Neither team are particularly impressive so I guess the least worse team here will take home the spoils.

Last chance saloon for Maddison and Mitrovic this week. If they can't do anything against Cardiff and Huddersfield then they never will.

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th November
That seems a bit of an overreaction re Maddison. Kane scored 1pt against Cardiff. Maddison is only £3.0m and will pick up points across the season, as he is on set pieces. Offers good VFM in my book.
Also isn't it bound to be a bit of a difficult game for Leicester, given the timing? Even if they have a bad one I don't think you should read too much into it as far as the rest of the season is concerned.

Quite a special weekend. A rare 4 flange saturday followed immediately by a single, bloated, overlapping flange on sunday.
(Not sure Huddersfield v Fulham merits counting as another flange on monday...)

Maddison is going nowhere for my team. He's been great value.

KdB confirmed out for another 5-6 weeks. And Hazard 'might' play a half apparently, which is annoying.

"40-45 minutes" is apparently his limit. So, bench at best I reckon. Helpful info as you won't get a teamsheet with the flange situation unless you get a chance to dive in very late.LenH wrote:KdB confirmed out for another 5-6 weeks. And Hazard 'might' play a half apparently, which is annoying.

You doing anything about Hazard Murf or any other holders? I'm not really sure whether to hold on another week or consider others, Mane, Sterling maybe? I don't know as timing is rubbish.murf wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 14:02"40-45 minutes" is apparently his limit. So, bench at best I reckon. You don’t make the Sunday flange sound very appetitising Murf
Appetitising it is not though with the absence of Chelsea team news on the flange deadline unhelpful. Hazard can stay out of my teams for one more week where I don’t have him (yeh!) but can’t be transferred out where I do (boo!)

Re: TFF chit chat 3rd, 4th and 5th November
I think, for what it's worth, keep him if you've got him, bring him in if he's going to replace a poor performer, but maybe not if it's for a player performing well. I'm thinking losing Laca for him on Sunday.LenH wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 15:06You doing anything about Hazard Murf or any other holders? Hovered over Hazard to Wilson but it just didn’t sit well. Gonna have to seriously think about him post IB.

He’s been in my FPL and Sky teams all season but I can’t bring myself to pick him in TFF.
Not sure why.

My Manchester United block letting me down as usual. At least there is some proper sport with the right shaped ball on in just a bit.

Arnautovic appears to be the only moderately interesting 3pm team news. Don't spose many of us will have many players doing their stuff. Well I've got Pererya, the odd Richarlison and, errr, ....

Don't ask me!
Suppose have to have a look at the fixture list but Soton is tempting to begin with.
