You could well be right re Middlesbrough defence but still very early in the season. Who knows what affect injuries suspensions fa cup etc will have later in season and the likes of Swansea in 14th have only conceded 3 more than Middlesbrough. There are still a lot of teams up there with the Middlesbrough defence but who would have thought Leeds would concede 2 against Birmingham so I dont think all is lost for those that have already ditched it or even never had it in the first place. Strarting with Middlesbrough was perhaps the obvious move but a lot can still happen. The important decisions for those who have it will be what to do when the injuries kick in or if they start conceding more regularly. Perhaps another relevant factor is whether you have 4 5 or 6 members of the defence (depending on formation)

Fry lost his place in the team so most will be down to 5 members of the Boro defence now. You're right about Swansea - they're looking very tight at the back and perhaps the way to go if you need to make up ground. I'm considering doing a full Boro Swansea block switch in my 2nd best team.

Has to be Leeds or Swansea surely if you're going to do a block switch. No goals or assists for me last night, but I held my position in the top 10 and didn't lose ground on those above me. I think most near the top have their attacking players in action tonight.

150 is nothing with this far to go especially when the leader will be very low on transfers

Yeah, it's ridiculous to talk about having to gamble at this point of the season. I just had a look at last year's posts and at the end of September I was just outside the top 2000 - I finished 3rd.

In the top 140 but 150pts behind. I've kept away from doing transfers as i am going to go all or nothing with a block defence move from Boro to another team but not sure which one yet.

When QPR gave 7 to WBA, everybody scarpered. Take that odd result out, then their defence points start to look good.
