Is Jota to Maddison a tinker?

Post by Jamjack »

It feels that way. I’ve been patient with Jota - Wolves look good, he looks good (at times). But.... I have this feeling Maddison’s scoring run is going to continue. Anyone else contemplating the switch?

It's one I'll be doing but I can't decide whether to do it straight away or wait until later in October when Leicester play after Wolves.

I did it a few weeks back.

Gray is out for 6 weeks if that is relevant.

Noticed that. 2 weeks away. Slightly concerned it may cost more point between now and then to wait it out ...

Not much in the fixtures next two weeks but the “extra” Maddison game is Arsenal away. Argh! I hate this game.

I looked at the calendar too but sometimes you have to say form over fixtures.

Mind you TFF are recommending Madison in their e-mail this week. I'd hate for anyone to think I was following their advice....

Wolves V Southampton and Newcastle v Leicester..... i think I’m going to take the view that Newcastle won’t give too much away and Jota therefore gets one more spin of the wheel. I’ve changed my mind 3 times on that in the last hour so far.

Sounds like a reasonable plan.

If in doubt.... ask a bookie:

First Goalscorer:
Jota 28/5
Madison 29/5

Anytime Goalscorer:
Jota 13/5
Madison 27/10

:? :? :? :?

Helpful?? (They don't do KC odds  )

...but do I do it today?

Think I will leave it at least one more week as Jota's fixture today cancels some(/most?) of Madison's form advantage.

Next week Madison has the better fixture BUT loses you the bonus chance the next week.

Maybe team news or injuries somewhere will tweak our thinking but logic and safety suggests hanging on another fortnight.

If in doubt.... hide behind the sofa.

I've resisted too (except in one team where I've sold someone other than Jota to get Maddison and both his 'd's).

51min Yellow Card (Wolves) Diogo Jota

Only the second time he has done anything, pointswise, other than start a game. The other was also a booking.

7 games for Jota and not even a KC. Cavaliero comes on and scores a goal with his first ever touch.....

Yep. Enough is enough. He is dead to me and I’m docking his wages too.

I've got both. Had enough of Jota now though, can go up to 4.4m for a replacement. Suggestions on a postcard...

Still a reasonable plan even though it didn't work out that way.

What about Jimenez from Wolves as a 3rd striker? Only £3.7m. Wolves are on a roll at the minute even if Jota isn't!

It's that time again.....

On paper, hold Jota for a bonus game (and usual international break reasons)

After initially dallying I think I may just go for it today as well.

We sure do. You could put money on it. In fact I may do (as a compensation insurance  ).

EDIT - no idea what I did to this quote
