'Bump'
In and also my son is joining for the first time. I've left him to choose with no interference, since he followed Mr Thomas from Stage one in the T de F.

Crikey, this isn't easy.

A lot of proven also-rans who always let you down, half of them only training for the World Championships and a distinct lack of decent local names. Makes the Tour Of Portugal look easy to pick.....

12 of us in my now (although 11 of you are wearing illegal non-FISO skinsuits)

(Still far easier to pick than a removed TdF field... :P )

Richie Porte has lost over 6 mins today. I've noticed not many have picked him.

He admitted before the race he was in crap shape and was hoping for some third week form.

6 minutes on a not especially difficult day 2 usually means stage hunting to come.

SPR Eagle Eye Racing is incoming.

P.S Leagues last season long now, so can setup at start of the year and just use the same code.

Platitudes flying around at my house at the moment.
'That's how you do it, Son',
was played on stage One as I picked the winner.
'Beginners Luck',
was used on stage 2 as my son replaced me in the Overall.
'Just because he has De la in his name doesn't mean he'll guarantee points.'
'Vivani, sounds like some kind bleach'
I'm getting desperate, he's still leading the Overall.

Shame I picked Dan Martin, missed the fact that his partner was expecting. 0 from 12 credits is a pretty big handicap. My other four 'GC' guys were pretty good though. Winning the stages where the GC is to the fore so hoping it goes the same way again today.

Shame I picked Richie Porte, missed the fact that he was properly ill, thought it was just bluff. 30 from 24 credits is a very big handicap. My other 'GC' guys were pretty good though. Mind you, can't believe my Yates is over 300pts behind Valverde (something wrong in the system there....think Valverde has only taken time off Yates once)

Well done Bagpuss. Second for me and can console myself with the fact that unless I had swapped Martin for Mas (who I didn't even consider) I would have still finished second anyway.

The points system is set up to reward Stage performances rather than overall time. Valverde won two stages to Yates one. Also Valverde won the green jersey and had two 3rds and a fourth on stage.
