29 points from 7 games at the world cup with only one clean sheet. That said, I'd expect Aurier to get some early season games after a summer on the beach.

But I would expect him to not start first few games then I would look to bring him in. I know his form and points but why would you start with him

Because he’ll probably miss one game maximum?
Would you transfer out a player with a one match suspension?

Yeah, England players will always be over-represented after this summer, due to name recognition among the most casual players. They’re nearly all likely to start the season slowly.

Probably not but then you also are considering transfering back, season start it just 1 change.
I would compare it more to using 1 final transfer on the cup final, if you new trippier was back for game 2 which would you choose if it was a choice.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
If he’s back for the second game (might even play in the first) and you want him in your team, then the player you have in his place has to score 10pts. Otherwise, why waste a transfer?
Newcastle and Cardiff have a 2-0 on Spurs second game so you might be able to squeeze 14pts for two clean sheets but it’s very unlikely and I’d rather just have him in from the start and keep my powder dry.
I know we get a ridiculous amount of transfers these days but I don’t want to be burning them in the first week if I can help it.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
My issue with England and other WC players is that they will be playing catch up on form and fitness. Plus there will be a touch of 'after the Lord Mayor's Show' about humdrum league games for them.
Fill your teams with Dutch, Italians, Welsh, Sane and the plain rubbish.

I haven;t worked it out properly yet, but Spurs could be short at the back, and DM with the WC players?

They've also got three away and one home before the international break so definitely a handle with care in starting XIs.

Yep, I'm avoiding like a thing to avoid and in FPL land was tempted by Newcastle players, but their fixtures are dodgy.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
Am I being stupid, or should the goalkeepers most selected add up to 100%? It is nowhere near currently. Unless they count players with credits, who haven't picked a team yet?
Just seems odd?

I thought exactly the same thing. And the percentages in their stats centre don't match the ones in the transfer panels. Something very odd going on there.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
Salah hits the 70% mark. Stupid pricing if he's remotely close to last season. That said, I've got one team called 'No Salah' without him on the basis of a difficult second album season. Not taking the risk in the other 9.
Elsewhere Alison is the top rated keeper, and Aguero is fast catching Kane, eminently sensible on the basis of pre season. Jota and Sessengnon leading the way for newly promoted players.

No because Kane, Trippier and De Bruyne won't start this weekend and may all be eased back in.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
Are we absolutely sure about the non-starters? Not going with Trippier at all as I think it likely he will be rotated and Kane's August struggles as well as World Cup exertions make me think I can leave him out to start with, but City played Walker and Stones last week, so are we really sure KDB will sit out for a bit?

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
Virtually every Man City fan thinks KDB will be on the bench and may get 15-20 minutes. Suppose he could easily start next week though so probably worth picking him now if you want him.Canaryfan wrote: ↑10 Aug 2018, 12:25 Are we absolutely sure about the non-starters? Walker, Stones and Kompany (as a substitute) played last weekend. Why do we think KdB won't start this weekend?
Personally, I can't see him not starting but we'll find out soon enough.

Post kdb injury update. Mane and Richarlison look like the main destinations.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
Aguero hits 50% with Kane on the downturn though I can see him going back up very soon. Richarlison close to 27% up from c10% at the start of the season. Plenty of buyers' regret going on there.

Re: Most Selected 2018/19
Update mid international break. Be interesting to see how the injury updates affect things this weekend. Could see Aguero overtake Salah.
More defenders than usual in the upper echelons but you wonder what more Alonso, say, has to do to attract more than 33% of managers.
