Whilst this will undoubtedly balls the cup results up, my league points are completely wrong as well.
Can't do anything about the cup, but I've corrected your league position.

4. Gilchrist1983 - 6275
12. Sport Billy - 7207

2. nevblake - 8632
7. Kris_fiso - 1998

14. bluenosey - 6275
11. Moist von Lipwig - 6275 * Wins on earlier entry

Semi=final line-up :
8. murf (* 4 * * *)
4. Sport Billy (1 * 6 * *)

2. nevblake (1 4 7 * *)
11. Moist von Lipwig (1 * * * *)

Had a pang of guilt.

Rats. You do your best to run things smoothly, and then 1 little error comes to light. Must be losing my touch. 10 years of running this competition & something like 35 competitions in all. Need to focus. Sorry chaps. I'm just going for a walk in the forest with my trusty revolver.

It looks like I'd have lost the semi anyway. So we can both put our revolvers away.

Nah, people are responsible for checking?

15 years wih 250 entrants a year I'd have made more mistakes than than that!
Without this comp I'd have far less interest in the world championships

Marvellous, you get all set up, determined you're going to go through with things. You get to a nice quiet wooded area, have a stiff drink and then realised you've picked up the water pistol by mistake. Should have gone to Specsavers.

Very true. I used to watch a lot of snooker back in the day (80s) but had barely paid it any attention til this comp grabbed my attention a few years back.

Thus endeth the semi-finals, and here is the FISO table.

8. murf - 2856
4. Sport Billy - 7821

2. nevblake - 7104
11. Moist von Lipwig - 4335

So rather unsurprisingly it's Sport Billy v nevblake in the final, and unless John Higgins gets thrashed, Sport Billy will win the knockout cup.

Almost forgot. Total number of points in the first frame of the final was 110, for those people that the tie-break will affect.
BBC website wrote:14:22 Selby takes the opener
Frame 1: Selby 1-0 Higgins (76-34, Selby break of 76)

If Selby can win 7 or more frames, Lewis takes the title. 6 frames or less and Michael takes it.

Many thanks for the competition, Shaggy365.

Entered for first time and, after decades of indifference to the World Championship, followed the event closely on TV this time.

And to do well in the Fiso league certainly came as a bonus...

It's April, Blah's getting ready to watch every pot of the Chinese Open, so it can't be very far away....

World Champs odds:

Ronnie O'Sullivan 2/1
Mark Selby 13/2
Judd Trump 8/1
John Higgins 12/1
Ding Junhui 14/1

Same old names.

Selby beat the Hawk to retain the China Open. Saw a start that he's won his last 13 games involving more than 1 session, dating back to 2016.

I have really got into Snooker and have a 44 break in a match, having taken it up just over a yer ago, and have Eurosport which means I have watched loads.

I blame my pants finish last year due to "too much knowledge": Trump was really good through the year then tanked......

Selby has been woeful all sea

And I think my finish last year was down to too little knowledge

Well, I used to be really good at this

I was thinking of doing a Preview, which would read like a papers Grand National preview with all mentioned as potential winners yet having no chance
