surprised @ Hazard. Are people hoping to win the starting eleven with his inclusion?
He is expected to be out at least until the international break.

Can't believe Cassetteboy is getting more picks than Jesus in the latest figures. Arsenal fans getting their teams in early?

I'd imagine it's people having doubts over whether Jesus or aguero will start, so playing it 'safe' with someone they know will be first choice.Darbyand wrote:Not sure how well that's known but expect him to plummet over next few weeks.Lucky wrote:surprised @ Hazard. Won't lukaku get rotated with ibrahimovic? Looks like ibra is staying/recovering and surely they can't put those two beasts together in a formation.

Ibrahimovic return would be a spanner indeed. Don't need to worry for a couple of months though.

Currently only 3 players (Kane, Luka, Alli) on over 26%. Kind of reduces the fear with the likes of Sanchez, Aguero etc when you've not got a big name and "everyone" else has them. A lot to change of course.

Latest figures courtesy of Bramernic
Sanchez and Hazard holding firm but will presumably drop off if as reported they miss the start of the season...be interesting to see where those percentages migrate to.

I hope Hazard is still at 23% when the season starts. That will give my teams a competitive edge considering he is out to mid september.
Sure all these % picked lists create a lot of group think. They should not be published until the season starts.
Some under picked platers in my view: Aguero 11.60%, King 3.60% Benteke 2.90% Vokes 1.60% Vardy 2.40% Gray 0.80% Rondon 0.40%. Most the teams picked very similar.

I think most people make picks based on the percentages, so it kinda grows into a consensus xi of averages.

Re: Most Selected 2017/18
Starting to see some movement now as teams are finalised. Sanchez, Hazard and Coutinho on the slide for injury and/or move reasons..Rooney and Lacazette don't seem to be convincing many through pre season. Mane on the surge and Kanekaku look like they'll both be on 50%+. Looks like no-one can figure out the City attack. Forster and ddg rising up the keeper choice table.

Re: Most Selected 2017/18
Neither can I! I just don't get it? He's not a goalscoring midfielder and isn't likely to rack up the assists like an Eriksen. I also take it none of them watched him the other night against Real Madrid where he was dreadful and got taught a footballing lesson.
Keane is a surprise aswell. That is a lot of novices picking him because he was good for Burnley but they haven't seen his four fixtures after the opening game.

Just the 10 points for Pogba yesterday
Update after the first weekend. Will be interesting to see what happens after the break if the likes of Sanchez are still around and when Hazard returns.

Always amazes me how the 'most picked' lists are dominated by expensive buys.
Very few enablers on there. A couple of names at 3m then just S Ward at 2.3m

Re: Most Selected 2017/18
Does the "man in the street" player prefer to look for 11 names they know? I'd never picked enablers before I started coming on here. Also this season if you've got a Forster/Matic type combo it doesn't feel too hard to spread the remaining 44m around 9 players especially with 40 transfers....I realise I'm straying into enabler territory here.
Anyway, we have a new most picked player.

Thanks for posting this.
Its even more amazing when you delve deeper to see that 6% have Hazard. Were these just auto pick teams?

Most Selected 2017/18
I have him in a team where you can't make transfers until 1st January.
I suspect a fair few will have him to try and win the starting XI league?
He'll still be one of the highest scoring midfielders, even missing the first 3/4 games.....unless he goes to Spain.

Re: Most Selected 2017/18
Lukaku surges ahead and Kane dips below 50%....that's either a lot of knee-jerk regular punters or there's more people from FISO doing the Aguero-Kane-Lukaku daisychain than I'd have imagined possible. I'm going for the former. In a similar vein a lot of people playing catch-up with Pogba.

Not quite ready to jump aboard the Pogba train but as the highest scoring player so far, at that price and such a recognised name, I expect he'll be over 30% by his next match
