Bramernic's stats pages - It's goodbye from me

Post by Bramernic »

See post #21 for details of the new site address.

Hi all,

I may not be green anymore, but I am still around, occasionally.

I will be providing the usual stats again this season. The player list is available from fantasysports.org.uk, just click on the button on the left side. Any announcements about the site are also posted on this page, so it may be worthwhile visiting occasionally. As you can see at the moment there is a problem with the fixture grid thanks to a very unhelpful BBC.

Feedback is always welcome. If it's urgent then PM me here (I get notified by email) or from the sites Contact Us page.

Much appreciated I used the stats grid regularly. It's brilliant!

Thank you so much Bram, much appreciated. So yet another season of being unable to blame my poor performance on lack of information ahead then.

Excellent site, Mr Bramernic. I use it to both play and to run my private league with. It's invaluable.

How many years has this site been running, pretty much unchanged????

Must be well over 10 years and yet TFF tweak and 'improve' theirs each and every year and still have nothing half as useful as this. They may look more modern but I prefer something useful.

Hats off Bram!

For someone who's never utilised this before, can someone explain the headers on the grids for me in terms of why they mean?

Also, is it a case of looking at last years stats to see what points they got?

What else does this give you above and beyond points totals?

Sorry for the stupid questions!

If you hover your mouse over the column headers then it is explained, eg PPM6 = Points Per £1Million value in last 6 weeks.

Usually Points Per Million or Game over the season to date or 6 weeks

Thank you. Was browsing on my phone.

Re Fraser above, he's a good shout. Had him for the last 3rd of last season and he got a nice flow of points.

Thanks for all the nice comments. The archives contain files from the 2002-2003 season so I've been doing this for 15 years, going into the 16th. The early years weren't as comprehensive as now, but the format has remained the same for over 10.

The homepage now has links to player lists and fixture grids for both premier league and championship games. The fixtures are being drawn from the TFF site now which has quite a few advantages. We'll have to see how the FA Cup matches get added, but I'm confident it will all be good.

Echo all of that. Very much appreciated and worth more than a few points to me each year. Thank you very much.

Now, if we could just come to some arrangement that would see you doing my transfers too.......

Having said that, converting the update program to use the tele fixtures rather than the beebs took a bit longer than anticipated. However, both premier league and championship grids should both be up to date now.

For a number of reasons, my site has had to move. It is now at www.fantasysports.org.uk. The old urls should all link to the same page on the new site. Please do let me know if anything doesn't work on the new site.

Pages will load slightly faster if you change any bookmarks you have to the new addresses.

The midweek fixture set has been updated on the site so points are showing in week 17. These points will be added to after the weekend fixtures to show the complete week 17. Hope this might help research for transfers today.

Will there be a World Cup version of your site or is it too much hassle/not really necessary for such a short competition? I can't remember what you did in the past

You're all very welcome. The player list is now up for 2018/19. As always it is dynamically generated from the TFF site so will be as up to date as they are with regard to new players and club transfers.

Am I correct in deducing that the championship game isn't running this season?
