Stewarding positions at sporting events.
As some of you may know, I'm a recruitment consultant. Based in the South West of England.
I've recently won an order from a security company that provide stewards for major sporting events and have been asked to supply 50 (atleast) stewards for the England v India one day international which is being played at Gloucestershire CC's ground on Monday 25th August (August Bank Holiday Monday). (please note, we will also be covering Bath Rugby's home fixtures this coming season too).
If anyone is interested in being paid to go to this match then please let me know.
You can PM me
or phone me during the week on 01249 447247
or email me: richardat24hyphen7staffingdotcodotuk
It will of course be a long day, likely to be a 7:30 start finishing at around 20:00
Get in touch.
Many thanks
Rich
*edited to add..... you will obviously be paid for this

Great offer. If anyone does sign up, and Richt doesn't mind I'd love to hear how it goes.

Of course Mystery.
Btw, this is going to be massive! A total sell out is expected and it will be televised live too.

All stewards are expected to wear:-
Black Shoes
Black Trousers
White Shirt.
If it's a hot / sunny day, then you may wear a cap. However they must not have any logos, slogans or brand names on them.
(wearing anything else will mean you will be ejected and won't be paid)
A packed lunch is advised, although one can be pre-ordered for a whopping price of just £2.
If anyone else has any other queries then just let me know.

You didn't miss anything (literally). Stood in the stands for 6.75 hours in the pouring rain apart from about 20 minutes of non rain, before the game was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
I did get to shake hands with Andy Caddick. But just missed out on talking to David Gower and Andrew Strauss.

Re: Stewarding positions at sporting events.
Did you have to pay all 50 of the stewards, or was there a clause in their contracts where you could send them home at lunchtime?
And what was the £2 lunch like?

Re: Stewarding positions at sporting events.
We billed our client for 6.75 hours of time and paid our candidates the same. Easy money really (well for ducks anyway)
The £2 packed lunch consisted of a blueberry muffin, a packet of golden wonder crisps, a ham (or cheese) roll, a bottle of water and a fun size twix. So a very very balanced and highly nutritious lunch as you can see *disclaimer, it was the security company that provided that, not 24-7 Staffing
