Was taking the soil out ready to replant a couple of years ago and there was a biggish round thing in there. Looked like an egg so I gave it a bit of a squeeze (I know! - Big red button syndrome).
Burst, confirming that not only was it an egg, but from the stink of the stuff that sprayed right into my face it had been there a while as well.
Question is - how the eff did it get there. I definitely didn't plant it. Does anything that you might get in the garden go around burying eggs??
(sorry - slight hijack but doesn't seem worth its own thread).

When it flowers I will post another photo (but will hide the garden so you don't complain about the weeds)Knulpuk wrote:Well now you committed to growing it so we have an answer,
downside you will have to nurture and look after it - post updates and reports
On the upside if it is an Osier / Willow you can cut it down and make a cricket bat

Re: Identifying a plant
Apart from the water feature that's what I made after lunch.
Do you see where I placed the non-grassy grass plant?

The new version does look a tad pretentious, but I like the lil waterfall thing.

Re: Identifying a plant
Looks like it has reached it's max height of about 2ft and buds have appeared at the top
