If Ronnie carry's on like this then Robertson's safety game won't be good enough to hold him, imho.

You just don't know what can happen with O'Sullivan. He's obviously been excellent so far but he hasn't been under a lot of pressure.blahblah wrote:If Ronnie carry's on like this then Robertson's safety game won't be good enough to hold him, imho.

The start against Ebdon was edgy, but yes Williams always rolls over against Ronnie.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Snooker - Now Active
I have Robertson and Ronnie so bound to get a semi finalist. It's all down to how much puff Hendry has left.
Nobody has the safety game to live with Ronnie in this form. In fact his safety, even before his change of tip/ breakbuilding gear is breathtaking and the best I've seen for a long time.

14 out of 30 of us down to 1 player (or less in 4 cases!)

which I think is a good thing.murf wrote:14 out of 30 of us down to 1 player (or less in 4 cases!)
Looking generally at the number of players left that people have, I think it's just about right for a good run-in. The top of the leaderboard has people with different combinations of players from the last 8 which means that it isn't all over yet (provided you're near the top). Sadly there are quite a lot of us where our only interest is in the quality of the snooker being played.

What's happened to Stephen Hendry?
I'm at work, so can't actually watch it, but losing 6-0? I could be playing and lose 6-0.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Snooker - Now Active
This is getting interesting. Tacalabala has Maguire, Hendry and Day. I've got Robertson.
The finished game has given him 15pts. If Stevens can inflict a 13-5 on Day then any Robertson victory should take me through...which would be the crime of the century.

Probably going faster than Stephenson's Rocket
Seriously, he has been awesome in the last two matches; and he seemed to eff Ebdon's head up

Not me. Fair play to Ronnie (and Taca). Had other things on my mind today anyway [see Maternity Ward thread for details...]Shaggy365 wrote:Who's going to be a lucky boy then?Darbyand wrote:This is getting interesting. Tacalabala has Maguire, Hendry and Day. I've got Robertson.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Snooker - Now Active
**2nd ROUND SUMMARY**
We didn't have too long to wait for the first shock of the second round. The Dude dazzled number 1 seed Blah to such an extent that our erstwhile champion complained about the brightness of the lights, albeit to no avail, as the Dude marched on. Next up is Two left feet, who desptached of a rather bedraggled Stu the screw, looking somewhat the worse from the night before. Housewives across the land sighed but have pledged their support to his victor, the newly crowned "Two the Screw".
The second tie was sooooo tight that a gnat with chisel could not separate the players. Sadly and unluckily, Owen "Pure" class was bamboozled by the bouncing Belgain, GM, who played a back double on the respotted black to secure victory for the European. He will play Gilchrist 1983 in the last 8, who overcame The Bear quite comfortably. The game was refereed by Michaela Tabb wearing an eyebrow rasing low cut top and The Bear, semingly distracted, managed to rip the cloth three times - a first on national TV.
Kris "no miss" continued his fine form with a narrow win over Whirlwind Workie, who unfortunately petered out to become more of a light breeze when it mattered most. No Miss will play "Dead Eye" Digsby in the quarters, who defeated maximum-man Moist by a narrow margin. Performance of the round went to the bookies new favourite, Tacalabala. Tornado Tac simply demolished the forlorn looking Shaggy, who will have to wait another year. Tornado Tac will play Darbyand in the last 8, conqueror of number 2 seed Shadyone, in a low scoring encounter which went on til 3.15am. Only the cameram, two OAPs, a dog and a wheezing bluebottle stayed the course. Even Hazel Irvine was caught asleep by the cameras. The quarter finals look to be a far more exciting prospect.

... and here's the points scored just for the round. Sadly I didn't quite make it, but if you win your own competition, then you get accused of cheating from everyone & his goldfish.
