ISM,who as you know also produce FPL,confirmed this to me yesterday after I contacted them.

"Unfortunately,we've made the very tough decision not to run the game for the next season"

I'll run it! Thanks for the heads-up, grob. How the hell FPL just grows and grows, yet equally good games such as CYKI fall by the wayside is beyond me. And this actually had cash prizes!

Damn shame. I only planned on playing FPL and CYKI this season as it was. I'm a bit surprised they didn't run it like FPL, i.e. with no prizes, but I guess they thought that was a little pointless.

Did they hint at whether this is a permanent decision? From what you've said it sounds like they're making decisions a season at a time.

Sorry to hear it guys - know how you feel after the years of mismangement by the Telegraph have led to the end of my favourite game (TFFO).

A bad summer - I've heard moans about The Metro game being wrecked too.

The FPL 5AS should really be one of your favourites if you participate actively fil16 but I can't tell if you're still playing as despite your existing avatar,your fpl button's missing - (profile page,at the bottom,new id from your FPL history page)

Over saturated market, probably coupled with a fall off in interest, although I would have thought that following a World Cup year, they may have picked up a few stragglers who played fantasy football for the first time.

Good point J, coupled with a return to slightly ruder economic health it's all the more disappointing.

Well it does have to be said that numbers were very low in terms of entries, so their databases won't have anywhere near the strain of other more highly subscribed games. Let's hope it is just a temporary blip for one season, and when Gordon Brown has miraculously turned around our economy into the strongest in the world, there will be £1,000 MOTW prizes, £5,000 MOTM prizes, and £50,000 top prize.

What do you mean Brown lost the election? You will be telling me next we have a new party called the ConDems running the country....
