Thinking of swapping out Ayew due to fixtures.

What did we learn?

Play the fixtures in defence; easier for clean sheets than attacking returns. Lost points from Amat[5] and Kingsley[8] vs Burnley for Baines[2] vs Spurs because I chased unlikely assists, penalties, and freekicks.

Pulis is dependable. Not only did the cleansheet come through for WB defence--even though there were some close calls--Rondon also got a goal. Some people were high on Brom due to their fixtures and they were rewarded. I had Rondon but took him out for Vardy.

Keeping an eye on...

Everton. Looked phenomenal the first half, pinging around passes like Barcelona, gave Spurs a taste of their own medicine, had them chasing ghosts. Gassed out in the second half, but Koeman told us as much, they were fat and out of shape compared to his Southampton, Everton may become very, very, good with improved match fitness.

Pool attacking mids and Coutinho in particular. What a performance. Looked unstoppable at times but it was Arsenal. And a 2nd string Arsenal at that.

Sunderland defence and Defoe. Moyes has the team playing a lot better than expected. Could be some gems in this inexpensive defence along with Defoe, who had more goals than Sanchez last season.

GW 2 Transfer Friday morning might be Nolito to Mane or Payet/Ayew.

What are we hoping?

That both City and Leicester improve offensively and that Nolito doesn't come off early again and gets more involved in the box.

United to crash and burn since Bournemouth looked awful rather than United looked good.

Should I WC for this? Kane to Aguero would be done next week.

2017 GW1

0.0 ITB

  • City will probably win the league
  • Don't rate Lukaku
  • Spurs priced for exceptional season, not worth unless they play even better
  • Heaton will probably still be good but not 0.5m better than Begovic
  • Fabianski comes in for Bego weeks 3, 4, 8
  • 3x Southampton due to starting fixtures
  • Don't think United will score lots but Mkhitaryan is quality and might play the 10
  • KDB could be Player Of The Season
  • Ward-Prowse at 5.5m at 10 is "in every team" value
  • Ritchie on all sorts of set pieces, Newcastle have gotta score some goals
  • Loftus-Cheek in over Carrol, Carrol doesn't really get into the box like Fer and although on set pieces, Swansea look shit
  • Kane, penalties.
  • Aguero, penalties.
  • Firmino, penalties.

GW1 Review - Overall Rank: 1,951,828
  • Team actually looks ok all around
  • Unlucky header conceded by Bournemouth cost us with Begovic & Daniels
  • Pied did not play so may have to transfer out tomorrow to prevent price drop
  • RLC over TC looks good so far
  • JWP and Ritchie both looked good
  • Kane could've scored a few, Spurs had no wide-play or pace threat before Son came in
  • Might have to suffer a Danilo blank if Mendy takes his spot, Pied taking priority of FT this week
So unless one of you are a Southampton insider who knows Pied will play next week, who do I replace him with?

Pied  Image

Moreno and Walker-Peters are tempting at 4.5 if they keep playing, worth a gamble? Well, maybe a no-go on that Pool defence unless Van Dijk arrives.

Pied is good on the bench so why take the transfer if not needed? (No pun intended to Sutton fans).
Ward-Prowse does not look flash but given the money who else could you buy?
No need for a knee jerk just yet, save the FT an do a double next week if required.

He's at -90.5 right now at http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk/ so I was just worried he might drop to 4.4m in 3 hours time.

And I'm not confident he'll actually start over Cedric.

Yeah I just got it wrong, he played preseason but still was a risk and I'm paying for it.

I was going to do KWP but Zanka is going up in value today and fixtures are actually good for 4 weeks so now we've got a choice to make.

I see Zanka at 77.9%, and I have Lejeune -33.2.

Preseason I had Lejeune, Zanka and Suttner; and kept who I thought would be the most robust re FPL points - obviously I didn't foresee Kane.... They rotate well enough for cheapies - and I want Daniels at GW7 or 9. Zanka has good fixtures until then, imho, but Brighton's aren't bad..

Silver lining: you can't enjoy a 130k green arrow if you're inside the top 10k!

Anyways, already did FT Auba  Higuain this week. Would you take a -4 for Laca  Aguero?

Option A) -4 Laca > Vardy, stick with Son for ARS, sou, Blank,

Option B) -8 Laca, Son > Vardy, Hazard

Halving your rank in a single game week. Nice!

Whether or not to take hits for those players is as much about context as it is about each move.
Do you need them for BGW31? Do you have a full team already? Are you free-hitting? Etc

As it is, it’s not easy to say
