Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
I think i will do just Sinclair Drenthe this week, and see if i can get BAE/Walker in there somewhere aswell.
As for the Yak, he is a proven goalscorerer with decent fixies after the game at OT this week. Dosnt bother me transfering him out though, he just went up 0.3 earing me 0.1.
Really want studge in, but need some serious kneejerking to get him in

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Looks good, Sinclair Drenthe makes sense with the DGW
Worth bringing in Walker with the fixtures, could be a fair few points in him.
With Blackburns mounting injuries and unrest at the club I think Yakubu's chances in front of goal might be limited. Would be worth trying to upgrade him to Sturridge even if it takes a few weeks.

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Yeeeha, Yak #3 on the bench Last minute upgrade for Surman cost me alot of poins
My thought of the week is:
"Did not see the Everton game, but seeing the lineup with alof of defencive players have me liking the idea of 2 Everton defenders. Have Baines, thinking Raylor or Evans & Enrique Hibbert & BAE "
"Will leave me with 6 dgw players. Like their fixtures until gw 22 when i plan to use my winter wildard, so dont see any trouble in stocking up"

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Sooo, what to do untill the 31 of january.
Obviously i can afford the luxury of just doing short term transfers. Form is the most important, but fixtures are aswell.
The teams i am looking at are, listed in order from Aston Villa wich i consider have the lightest fixtures:
Aston Villa, who play Everton (H), Wolves (A) and QPR (H).
Sunderland (From gw 22) Swansea (H) Norwich (H)
Liverpool, who play Stoke (H), Bolton (A) and Wolves (A)
Fulham: Blackburn (A) Newcastle (H) WBA (H)
Newcastle: QPR (H), Fulham (A) and Balckburn (A)
Candidates to ship out is: Hibbert, Baines (hard to get clean sheets it seems), Drenthe(!!) and Osman ( not a reg starter, no short term easy fixtures.
1st to go out for gw 21 is Drenthe. Candidates going in are Cabaye and Ireland. Both with nice fixtures. Ireland seemed very attacking, and looks like when he was a must couple years ago in City. Very sweet fixtures wich could mean alot of points. Cabaye also proved how class he is last night.
Gw 22, Hibbert -> Sunderland defender. No money to get Sessie in im afraid. I could hold on this week and get a Sunderland defender + Sessie in for Baines and Drenthe. Sunderland having two awesome fixtures in gw 22 and 23.
Gw 23, Maybe get in a AV player for someone, AV playing QPR at home.
Gw 24 i have wildcarded in an awesome team

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
I agree with your analysis in that Villa & Sunderland have very nice upcoming fixtures, although I rate Sunderland's chances higher for goals than Villa (except maybe against Chelsea, but who knows?).
Whatever's going on with Drenthe is evidently something that's going to be kept behind closed doors, and so it's probably worth getting rid of him. But I think it might not be a bad idea to hold on for one more week and use the double to get Sess in. He looked awesome the other day and I do very much like their upcoming fixtures.
On the other hand, my picks of late have been the equivilent of whatever is the opposite of the Midas touch , so proceed with caution
Edit: Just saw the news that Jag might have knee ligiment damage. Sounds like it could be a season ender.

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
So my 6 dgw players both dissapointet me largely, and surprised me largely. Still did okay so i cant complain.
24 points from BAE. 20 from the 5 others Baines had one in the post, Drente should have had an assist for a penalty, Baines should have had the penalty. So karma is biting me in the aaaaa! ss
Thoughts for the next deadline is Hibbert Kelly or Senderos
Next week, Drenthe -> Sessie
Intresting to see if Drenthe will get a start this week and perform, his only chance to surive in my team.. I have no clue at all why Moyes dont play him more. He is the only one who looks lively at a very bad Everton team.

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Given that the next game week doesn't begin until the last day of the month, you might as well do it this week. You shouldn't have much more info after this week that you wouldn't have during this week.

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Saved my transfer last week after wildcarding.
Ideas for next week is BAE Taiwo. Though QPR havent been solid defencly so far. Tottenham have and BAE is THE in-form defender. Problems is the fixtures wich are great for QPR and poor for tottenham. So yeah, not sure :S

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Sold Senderos to Kelly last week. So now i got 0.4 in the bank and still two freebies.
Considering not doing any transfers this week and "waste" a transfer.
An option is getting rith of Bale or BAE in preparation for gw 29, fixtures aint great either. But, it's pritty loco, i consider them as season keepers, but the only question is. Will i accumulate more points if i get some1 else in
So i may: Bale Cabaye
Newcastle has pritty easy games and playes gw 29

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
So with Liverpools dgw in gw 28, and rescheduled fixture in gw 29, im thinking of going Liverpool loco. Making a sess Adam transfer this week and the others the week after.
Have and extra trannie in hand so no hit
Hot or not?

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
You've made no money yet on Ba, so I'd consider trading him for Suarez (temporaily of course).
Keep Aguero!
Adam is a big no-no with an extremely poor VFM.

Paid 7,3 for him, and hes 8,1 now. Think i will hold on for i little longer so he can prove he is dropable. He had a couple games of but ill give hime some more faith..Ironfist wrote:You've made no money yet on Ba, so I'd consider trading him for Suarez (temporaily of course).

Am rly unsure what to do imo. Maybe get Valencia out, for nani perhaps? Or getting Enrique in for BAE, but bought BAE for 5,3, hes 6,2 now.

Done Nani - Valencia. Pondering on Raylor Verm aswell. had 2 free transfers. Arsenal has the next best run-in.
But would my team be to heavy at the back?

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Let it roll over. Silva once again proved how bad form he's in, but still feel okay about it as if he was to return to form, this would be the game. Also he was almost as favour to score as Bale this gw acording to the bookies.
So i have 2 free transfers, feel its time for Drenthe, enrique and Silva to go soon.
Want a Arsenal and Sunderland Midfielder in, as they are playing Wolves and Wigan at home gw 34.
So until gw 35, somethin like this, early thinkering
gw 32 Silva -> walcott
gw 33 enrique -> mcauley (QpR gw 34)
gw 34 Drenthe - > Sess (will have suarez, BaE and Demps missing)
gw 35, getting in 2 double gwrs

2 frees, will leave it to last minutes due to covid.
Not sure who and if to ditch. Zouma Firminho-> Coufal Vardy could be better scoring option for dgw.
Double transfer cant be rolled as u plan on Free Hit next week.

Only 0.1 difference in price to Aguero over Vardy and you need some city coverage imo. Vardy will do well this century though, Verdi not so well.

It's rather pleasing seeing those old screenshots, RVP, Suarez and Rooney - what a front line that was

Re: Xanders weekly thoughts and ponderings
Thanks! Not to active though
Had no city-cover for their fixture run, so luckily wildcarded to 6 manchester-players who have propelled me to top 5k.
This week im on 2 fts and 6.8 itb.
Team is so well set up, exept some injury concerns.
Thinking of leaving Arsenal and westham ship as they have no dgws coming up, and not the best fixtures. So coufal or tierney is living dangerous. Burnley has a nice dgw, but Everton has a dgw + more, so leaning towards Keane or Digne (slight injuryconcern) for Tierney.
Have free hit wich i will usenin gw29 if few will play, and triple cap
