Game week 22 Wildcard HELP!

Hi guys,

Hoping I get some replies that will help me out...

I’m in 2nd place in my league and failing to catch first place.

My team now has a fair few injuries, and punts that now haven’t worked out.

Planning on using my second wildcard game week 22. But struggling to come together with something I like.

Want something that will give me a big haul in 22, and then perform ok with minor adjustments weeks following.

Some differentials would be good too.

Putting up a link to your current FPL squad and some Ideas of your own for your plan going forward may help in getting some replies.
Try Danny Drinkwater as a differential. He could come good at Villa, I have him as M5 and at 4.4 he is a good start if you have a low budget to spend.

My current squad is:

Fabianski / Guita

Rico / Wan-Bissaka / Chillwell / Digne / Tomkins

Alli / DeBruyne / Zaha / A. Traore / Pogba

Calvert Lewin / Vardy / Kane

Not really sure who to bring in for wildcard.

Kane, Alli, Zaha, Pogba, Wan-B, Digne and one of the keepers out, maybe Tomkins too. Too much money in the keepers, bring in a non playing bench filler or McCarthy as back up and just go with one.

You will definitely need 3 liverpool players, I prefer TAA, Robbo & one of Mane/Salah. That should be funded by the Kane downgrade to a Jiminez/Ings type. Then look at the remaining budget and see what you can get. I prefer Sidibe to Digne for Everton if that is the way you want to go.

End up with something like

Guaita McCarthy
Rico TAA Chilwell Robbo Sidibe
KDB Mane/Salah Traore Cantwell Grealish
DCL Vardy Jiminez

Italic should be what you play around with you budget to find what you like best and at least one of those outfield players should be bench fodder like Cantwell, Stephens, Dendoncker etc. Rough maths makes the above affordable with maybe a little left for an upgrade to Jiminez/Grealish positions.

West Ham - Fredricks the RB who plays a lot, Felipe Anderson, Haller

Arsenal (worth a punt?) - Lacazette, Pepe, David Luiz

What do you think about some of those?

Fredericks is broken.

Have Fab and a 4m GK....

I'd be a little wary of Jesus, Haller and Pepe for gametime reasons, Luiz is expensive (Doherty and Sidibe better choices) and Fredricks is injured.

I think there is better value in an Ings/DCL/Jiminez than Firmino/Lacazette but that is just a personal preference and same with Anderson, players like Grealish, Traore, Sarr offer better value imo. Sarr would be my choice of the Watford assets if you want to go that way.

Sidibe, Doherty, Richarlison are solid picks imo


If you made the transfers I suggested above how much budget would you be left with for the 'italic' players as your current Team Value will play a big part in what you can afford.

I think these are must haves
Mane/Salah 12.3M. This gives you 3 good captaincy options with KDB/Vardy.
TAA & Robbo 14.5M

Leaves you 28.2M for 1 Keeper, 1 Defender, 2 Mids and a Striker. At least one outfield player will be benched pretty much permanently alongside Rico and another will rotate with Traore for the 1st Sub spot.

McCarthy £4.3M
or any of the 3.9/4.0M guys to sit on the bench all the time

Sidibe 5.4M
Doherty 6.1M
Lundstram 5.1M
Kelly 4.4M
Dunk 4.8M
or any of the 3.9/4.0M guys who could go sub 3 all the time

Richarlison 8.0M
Grealish 6.4M
Cantwell 4.9M
Maddison 7.7M
Dendonker 4.4M/Choudry 4.3M again would be sub 3 all the time
Mahrez 8.4M
Sarr 6.2M
Perez 6M

Ings 6.7M
Jiminez 7.5M
Greenwood 4.3M

At that point just try combinations and see what works and what you like. I'm sure others might have some more suggestions for players I've not considered above.
