I'm thinking one of the Pool mids will go for KdB or Sterling. Which one though?

Yep, that seems likely. City's decent run covers Liverpool's tricky run quite nicely (GW18 to GW25). Salah historically struggles against the better teams (although perhaps only Leicester and Tottenham of their upcoming opponents fall into that bracket). Might he be more expendable than Mané through this sticky spell?

Will be interesting to see what he does.

More or less the same article from last week, updated to include his rise to the top of the rankings this weekend.

Something else I learned from that article: current world no.2 (and likely world no.1 after tonight's game) is former Liverpool and Bristol Rovers player Nick Tanner! Although it should be noted that Tanner used literally all of his available chips in the first seven gameweeks.

It seems the top of the FPL rankings is full of famous names these days. :D

Yes, if I play my cards right (or make the right chess moves, perhaps), I think I have a real chance of finishing third in my mini-league.

Nick Tanner has already been number one, back in October and the BBC ran an article about it.

Dropping Abraham prior to Burnley at home - not something I'd do, especially for a hit (accepting it is to fund the other transfers, but TAA doesn't seem pressing this week so could have just done Alli to Rich?).

Yeah the other 2 seem mis-timed. Maguire was a small doubt but has Norwich at home. Perhaps he has other transfer plans imminent.

With four/six having played it’s looking like a poor set of transfers

A -4 to bring in Alexander-Arnold three weeks after his 24-pointer, he's really ahead of the game there.

Carlsen just broke the record for longest unbeaten run in chess, extending his unbeaten run to 111 successive classical games with a draw in a tournament in the Netherlands on Tuesday.

And with five red arrows in a row, he could be heading for the longest streak of red arrows in the history of FPL if he doesn't get a green one soon.

He’s back into the top 50 with 85 points this week thanks to bringing in Jota and Doherty for a hit.

And he’s happy about it:

Nice. Sexy moves Image he definitely pays some attention to eye test: Jota and Doherty have become more prominent in the absence of Traore.

In contrast, I brought Traore in even after watching the EL game, mainly because the move was 'planned' and 'made sense' for my team. He should do well against Spurs, mind.

He's been in support of Salah+Mane since quite early. Let's see how that works out.
