Nah no reason. I imagine the risk of a price fall us greater with Davis is all.Stevieste wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020, 14:01Any reasons why you have Vassilev instead of Davies ?The Minertaur wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020, 13:04 The current adapted draft team is:
McCarthy, Nyland
TAA, Doherty, Egan, Taylor, Justin
Salah, Auba, Son, ASM, Anguissa
Ings, Mitrovic, Vassilev
Leicester and Burnley fixtures mix together well. Just need Fulham to score goals...
I also have Anguissa as 4.5 and looks like he could actually start according to the forums fans

In the 4 hours since I posted that last post I've updated my team again.
Now with money spread more evenly throughout the team and still money in the bank to get Fernandes in week 2.

That is a fine collection of double-ups. Absolutely nothing wrong with that set up as it stands.

Just post your FPL history ID on the Divisional champs thread viewtopic.php?f=82&t=132473&p=3440205#p3440205 if you want to enter.
Registration for the Cup is "almost" closed as I have filled the qualifying leagues but if you find the thread and post I will fit you in and re jig the qualifying

Re: The Minertaur RMT
As always I forget about this thread so thought I'd provide a wee update of how the season has gone.
Last season my biggest problem was poor captaincy choice. In my work league last season I finished top but actually had the lowest captain points so I've focused on improving that. last season I had 396 captain points and in the first 17 weeks this season I've already had 254.
After 17 gameweeks last season I was ranked 154503 and had 991 points.
After 17 gameweeks this season I'm ranked 465521 and have 1000 points.
So despite having more points I'm ranked 3 times higher than what I was last year! Things are looking good though - after GW14 I was down at 810782 so I've fair moved up in the last few weeks. Fingers crossed this continues.
Free hitting this week but the team last week was:
Martinez/Forster
Robertson/Stones/Justin/Chilwell/Coufal
Salah/Son/Soucek/Fernandes/Saka
Kane/Adams/Bamford

You forgot to say you were doing OK in the FISO divisional champs getting promotion to League 2 in round 2 and sitting in 11 th place only 12 points away from the promotion places with one GW to go in round 3. Good luckThe Minertaur wrote: ↑05 Jan 2021, 12:06 As always I forget about this thread so thought I'd provide a wee update of how the season has gone.

Re: The Minertaur RMT
So going into the DGW with 12 players having 2 matches. However:
One of them is Fraser Forster.
Son and Kane only have 1 game.
High risk games are postponed - I have Martinez, Bamford and Adams who could lose a game.
So I'm tempted to avoid a bench boost just now and just focus on getting the best 9 DGW players I can with the 2 Spurs guys. Sadly need to wait and see if games are going ahead before any transfers are made. Was wanting to do Adams - Antonio but I'm 0.1 short!

Re: The Minertaur RMT
Ended last season around 144K. Can't complain - highest ever points total so can't complain too much.
This season my first draft looks like:
Sanchez (Foster)
Holding, TAA, Lamptey, Digne, Shaw
Raph, Pepe, Fernandes, Salah, (Bissouma)
DCL, Watkins, (Davis)
Happy enough with it so far to be honest. Like to have 12 strong players to save transfers early but we'll see how often I change it....

Re: The Minertaur RMT
Wow has it really been 2 years since I did a post in here?
21/22 season - was doing average before being hacked at Christmas. Ended up 7 millionth. Devastated
22/23 - better. No hacking firstly. Finished 864K.
This season.
I had honestly started to get really frustrated by FPL. I think I was taking on too much information - Twitter threads, Reddit, Podcasts all about FPL. All with differing opinions. All split how I was thinking. This season I've cut back on what I listen to and there's only a handful of people on Twitter who I actually look at (Bigmanbakar mainly). I also decided to try and have more fun with my captain picks. Last year was basically Haaland (C) almost every week. So I've tried to change my captain each week and so far:
GW1 - Saka - 20
GW2 - Diaz - 14
GW3 - Chilwell - 12
GW4 - Haaland - 60 (TC)
GW5 - Awoniyi - 10
GW6 - Haaland - 12
GW7 - Morris - 20
GW8 - Salah - 30
No blanks so far. Much better.
So the rest of my team:
Leno, Areola
Trippier, Udogie, Cash, Gabriel, Andersen
Maddison, Salah, Neto, Saka, JWP
Haaland, Watkins, Archer
Wildcard used a few weeks back. Other than wanting Bowen and Son I'm quite satisfied with the team currently. My overall rank is 8804 which is far and away the best I've ever been. Now that I'm doing well I'm panicking that I fall back into old habits and start changing too much
I've 0.3 in the bank so I have rough plans around doing JWP to Gordon soon and then upgrading Archer to Foster at Burnley.

Brilliant rank; well done. Really don't like the JWP transfer, particularly given the run of fixtures coming up for the Hammers. What are the advantages of that transfer?

On the 3rd striker, I have Edouard planned for GW 11-15, as they have a nice little run

It'll be Haaland this gameweek but that's all I'm willing to admit
Yeah Edouard does look a relatively solid pick. Could really do with Eze/Olise being fully fit though.

It's more just free up some funds but I agree the West Ham fixtures do need some cover. A very valid point that I'll need to think about!Aldershot Rejects wrote: ↑12 Oct 2023, 00:03 Brilliant rank; well done. GW9 Review:
77 points and a drop from 8804 to 21533. If only I'd captained Salah as opposed to Haaland!
Could really have done with Udogie getting a few more minutes to get the clean sheet points but that seems to be the first "OMG U WOT MATE" sub of the season affecting my team so I'll let it slide.
GW10:
I was sitting with 0.3 in the bank and looking to upgrade JWP for a few gameweeks. On Friday night last week Mitoma dropped to 6.5 meaning I had exactly the £££ to bring him in. He'll be in my starting team now for the next 4 gameweeks:
Fulham (H)
Everton (A)
Sheff Utd (H)
Nott Forest (A)
However I now have no money in the bank and no real plan for the coming gameweeks. Spurs fixtures turn bad so a possible Maddison to Bowen move but there's no real pressing issues anywhere in my team.
Except for my last sub Andersen (Luton) who angers me when I see his name in my team. Brought him in on my early wildcard after he scored v West Ham and had featured in every game. Since he came in? 6 games and he's barely just gotten past 180 minutes of action!
