Yes, Joccki, such a team is possible
Double Palace defence wasn’t in my original plan for the DGW - then again, we’re not showing ourselves to be very good at planning over on our side of the Channel at the moment!

(Forget the captaincy, wouldn’t be Pogba)

Is there any way you can bring Milivojevic in there in place of Wan-Bissaka?

Yes, although Kane wasn’t in that draft
Or else AWB is retained and Laporte goes - necessitating a keeper change that also costs more

The upside of Kane is that if he scores well it’s a great differential and there’s a chance of a decent rankings rise.
The downside is that the more I look at it, the more compromises there are.

For tonight I’ll take a look at expected price rises and get them in my team just in case - be a shame to be priced out for those reasons!

Are they that differently priced?

The really brave call is Etheridge, who will rack up Save Points, and a CS will get 3BP's?

Quick FH question:
Laporte and Rashford
Or
Lindelof and David Silva?

Thanks

Who is the 3rd? Or is it base price 3rd bench bod?

I'm a Laporte fan FPL wise, so I'm biased....

Straight choice between the two, blah. The 3rd is on the bench, someone like Quaner or Elneny so price about the same.
(Obviously Rashford has to be fit or it’ decision made)

sstaffsw has made a good point about Jiménez playing very late this Thursday and in the wrong time zone so he may well be benched. That’d also be a factor and increase the likelihood of Rashford, Lukaku or Higuain

Laporte and Rashford if fit. I'd need some confirmation that Lindelöf will definitely play both (considering his wife's situation) to select him.

I notice Lindelof did not play for Sweden yesterday, Presumably he would normally be in the side? If so presumably he has stayed at home for baby reasons?

This thing about rank rise in the FH

Only 79k are on it , just by playing it you get a rise

Plenty of non FH teams will have at least 8 to 9 doublers so I doubt it is as certain as that.

There’ll be more than 79k on it by the deadline. I had made multiple changes and only triggered it a day or two ago. Plenty will not yet even have thought about next week.
I agree though - last week’s FHers were very unfortunate

I won’t go near Shaw. If he gets a yellow against Watford, he won’t have a DGW. One United defender is more than enough imo.
It's perfectly possible. I've got all of those plus Pogba, Luiz, Laporte and Kepa. My compromises are Babel, Schlupp, and a weak bench, but the bench is pretty irrelevant in a DGW.

I can't get near that either. I can get a similar side if I substitute Higuain for Kane but can't get near it with Kane. What team value are you working with dod, I've got £102.5m to play with.

I was on 106.8m last GW but my FH squad is valued at 105.8m. I made a lot of early transfers this season to catch rises and avoid drops. It's debatable whether it was worth it but it's handy for a late FH.

Five of these players came in at 11.22

GW32 ‘Half Time’
63 plus Azpi’s bonus
With Liverpool Spurs about to kick off and eleven-ish still to play (if Kaptain Kün isn’t injured) that’s looking better than average. Who knows what’s to come though.

GW33 Transfer
Copying here as a note to self for later in the week

Surely Anderson out? Big chance he drops price this week, at least once.
Yes, fair point. Anderson’s time in my team is coming to end.
With £7.2m to spend on a midfielder so far the long list of options are:
Willian
Pedro
Maddison
Fraser
Or a cheeky Doherty to Chilwell switch (max £5m for a defender)

I’ll probably have to take any price drop on the chin if it happens in the next three or four days. With so much football to play this week there’s also the chance that one of my current players will be either injured or suspended. I’d rather lose £0.1m than take a hit

Update
I have a few weeks to update on. So far the B/DGW period has seen me slash a third off my ranking and yet I have a nagging sense of underachievement. Maybe my expectations were too high?
GW32FH
This, in truth, fizzled out. Half my team didn’t play their second fixtures. As it was 92 all out was a decent recovery but nowhere near as high a score as I anticipated from 22 players. Still, I managed a 10k green arrow.
BGW33
I had already prepared for this leading up to GW31. I switched Anderson to Fraser although would have been better saving my transfer and playing AWB!
Captain Hazard and Vardy helped me to a season’s best 205k in the game week and 73 points. Another green arrow and I am now at my season’s best ranking of 55k.

WC34
I have used the wild card to set me up for the rest of the season. I will Bench Boost next week, although as you’ll see there are a few single gameweek players in there. Siggy is a bit of a risk and is really in there for this game week and the last couple of fixtures. The Liverpool pair might even be joined by single gamer TAA instead of DGW Dunk. Let’s see how the ‘all in on Brighton defence’ goes this week before deciding. Tripling up on Brighton’s defence and also captaining Duffy really is the type of risk I normally steer clear of. But then Bournemouth are only turning up because they heard that Brighton has a beach and then it’s Cardiff. In short, if I don’t think Brighton can keep a clean sheet against one of those I shouldn’t have Ryan or Duffy either. Plus alternative Captain Son has been widely tipped to miss out on game time this week, as has Murray, the other obvious Brighton asset. Who knows if either of those are true, but I didn’t take the risk.

Wildcard Team
2F35AF7A-AF57-48B7-A226-EA5E2D06F27C.jpeg
Upcoming transfers
They’re all planned out. Or at least they were before I dropped Pogba/Hojbjerg for Sigurdsson/Deulofeu at the last minute. I am, of course, £0.1m short. For now thinking that through can wait, a WC just after a FH is exhausting!

Good luck all

I was quite tempted by a last minute punt on Siggy as well but I went with Martial instead. Good luck, I hope you get your reward.

PS - I know what you mean about that nagging sense of achievement. I've halved my rank over the last 5 weeks or so, but I still feel I haven't made the best of the opportunities that were available.

Sheffield Wednesday Goal of the Season
I’ll come back to my 124 in GW35.
For now, whilst we’ve missed out on the playoffs just take a look at our GotS contenders. There are Premier League clubs with fewer genuine contenders
