It's 5, plus however many dropouts there are from the leagues above. I'd expect that there would be between 5 and 10 dropouts so there's still loads to play for for almost everyone in this league

My challenge is to get others in the higher leagues to drop out so there are more promotion places in the Conference

The current leader, NB’s Conference Eam would appear to have secured their place in Division 2 for next season, although the chasing 10 or 11 teams are still fighting it out for the other four automatic promotion places. In reality, the top 19 teams could all be looking for a move up a division depending on the dropouts in the leagues above.

There’s no relegation from the Conference which should come as good news to those teams rooted to the arse of the Drunken League!
