Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
352 for me but I have a team doing well with 442.
My second best team has got 5 captaincy and 7 transfers left and not a lot of Chelsea players

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
Had 433 and used too many transfers to change it. No doubt I will be more conservative with the next 16. 148th and 365th. Had Michu on the bench in best team when he got 2. Where's your best team AV et al?

My "doing well" is relative to my head to head challenge with my mate
667th and 892nd.
667th and 892nd.

Best team 137th using 433, other teams around 2000 mark, all 442.. Low on transfers though.

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
Best team is 40 something, another 70 something with 7/8 transfers. Three around 400ish all with 5+.
All mine are 433 but I've been tempted to swap a few to 352. I think 352 is better in terms of getting value from your players with the likes of Michu, Nolan, Fellaini etc cheaper than the best defenders and matching the best forwards for points but it does leave you quite inflexable with transfers and obviously gives more forward fixture clashes. I think 433 is the way to go but I'd be interested to know the set up of the top sides

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
352 has defenitely been higher scoring this season. Not sure if this is normal or not, but i suspect the injuries to top strikers and lack of clean sheets has defenitely contributed to this.
352 does need a lot of careful planning with the strikers. My best team has currently Snodgrass (Cpt), Defoe & Van P. Pre-season if you suggested that Snodgrass would get anywhere near a dail mail team, let alone be captain, with the crucial 3pts for a win bonus, i'd have laughed my knob off.

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
I'd assume most teams were 433 last year with the Aguero, Rooney, Van Persie, and Adebayor combo an obvious choice. I think the leading teams will be a bit more varied this time. I don't think 352 was available the season/s before.
A bit of an annoying one tonight, I had planned to bring Cazorla (as captain) in to my 3rd and 4th sides but changed to Walcott when I saw he was playing centrally I think I'd have got 4 sides on the leaderboard for Christmas if I'd stuck to the original plan

I only captained 1 Cazorla and did the same as you Art. Very annoyed with myself too. I could have broken the top 50,000!

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
I can't see that forum anymore
Anyway, bit of a problem with the site tonight. I tried to transfer out Walcott (captain)for Torres while changing from 442 to 433 and get "there was a problem processing your form: Maximum number of captain transfers exceeded".
This has meant I've had to do all my transfers tonight, instead of waiting for team news, in case there was a problem with my other (better) teams. Fortunately there wasn't, but if Rooney doesn't play tomorrow I'll not be happy.

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
Well, that was well timed. Used my final transfer to bring in Rooney as captain - First game booked and subbed, then injured before the next one

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
At least I only did that in one team, although it was my best one.
The new transfers have disappeared. I had 16 earlier, now it's back to zero again

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
Hello - i'd spotted that the transfers had been allocated already too, but the terms do indicate that they should click in at midnight tonight. Would guess that the office junior had pressed a button rather early, someone has noticed and/or complained, and they went back to as they should be some time this afternoon. So use 'em or lose 'em - just over four hours 'til the new allocation appears, for real this time perhaps.

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
Same thing has happened over the past few years. One year you could make transfers before the deadline and then it took off your allocation post deadline (was the reason I joined FISO!) so be careful.

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
They seem to have corrupted this game completely just by adding transfers.
With no input from me I find my second goalie is at right back:all strikers on the bench. And because the team is invalid it won't process sub changes.
What a shambles.

Yep, my lot is exactly the same. I hope they get this sorted a bit sharpish, i have a few teams doing ok, and wont have the time later to do any changes..El Tel of Ealing wrote:They seem to have corrupted this game completely just by adding transfers.

The cheek!Wilbert, thanks for your enquiry. We know you won't win because you're rubbish and we often have a laugh at who you leave on the bench so here's 50 points per team for pointing out the error

Another annoying day. I hate it when you can't see the team news before you make a transfer because of one of those early kick offs - Toss up between Hernandez and Walcott for who to replace Rooney as captain. You can guess who I went for

Of course by now I've transferred Walcott out for Hazard It's all going very Pete Tong. The curse of saving my transfers until the end of December hits me again.WilBert wrote:I only captained 1 Cazorla and did the same as you Art. Very annoyed with myself too. I could have broken the top 50,000!

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
I did the even more impressive Walcott to Rooney to Hernandez. Two transfers to end up 70 points worse off
Very low scores for me in all my teams today on what should be quite a low scoring day generally but there could be a few big movers on the leaderboard if anyone captained Walcott. Could be a strange one next week too with the cup games and an early kick off so no teams news

Re: Daily Mail 2012-13 Chit Chat
Just how low are your scores Art?
I can't gauge what might be reasonable.
Mine range from 3 to 45,
Thankfully the 45 is in my best team, with 8 playing tomorrow.
