If I had any transfers I'd be tempted for a big gamble on Maxi. Well done Andy within touching distance of second now.

I met my objective of recovering 3 teams into the top 1000. Thank goodness all those outside the top 100 have given up to make me feel better :D

I let my teams go just over a month ago to concentrate my attention on other games, were I have a chance of winning small ammounts of money.

Not a good season for me in the Mail for my 3 teams.

My best was around 700th when I gave up.

Not sure I will play next Season, what with all the multi entrants and high maintenance.

You can't even go away for a weekend and leave the team unattended (With the 15 player squad rule, with transfers allowed between games)

Was I the only one to put chelski on the bench yesterday? Must include facup when checking fixtures. :) I guess it was only my second mistake which was in the same team apart from learning the subbing routine the first few weeks and it's in 118th now.

There's no way he knew he was in contention either. I don't think he was even managing that team anymore! He beat me by two points in the overall league too. Annoying. Really shocked I scored only one goal less than the overall winner. My defence must have been terrible :?

Well, I finished with three sides in the top 40 but never really felt I was in contention. Too many mistakes early on left me too much work to do. Oh well, there's always next year.....

Well played Andy, a second 'in the money' finish in The Mail I believe. Nice 8-)

Well done Andy. Close finish. I finished third but was never higher than that so you really deserved it. Like the fact we could not really know the teams of other players. Would love to know your final team. I had Hart, Walker, Vermal, Terry, Kompany, Valencia, Bale, Aguero (c) RVP, Adebayor with subs Krul, Wheater, Mata, Dempsey & Suarez.
Had 1 transfer for final week which was Yakubu (c) to Aguero. Gambled on Rooney (c) v Swansea & Yakubu v Wigan as my final captain change & 2nd last transfer. Had only 10 men on final day due to Dempsey & Mata. I think you must have had a Wigan player as Captain v Blackburn. Missed all the excitement of the final day as was abroad on work with no internet access after the morning but have just watched the highlights. Remarkable last 5 minutes.

I didn't realise that one can win prizes for Leagues & if anyone thinks I could help their league to a prize would be happy to join one next season. I had my worst ever FPL season (about 21,000) but I have 5 top 1000 finishes in FPL in the past ( best finish 39th) & came 2nd in metro last year and 26th this year. Sorry if this sounds like a CV for a job application. Pascal

Thanks Pascal - congratulations on 3rd .

I had Gerrard as captain against Chelsea and used a transfer to Rooney as captain against Swansea . My final transfer was to Moses as captain against Blackburn and Wolves .

My team on the last day was Hart , Terry , Walker , Kaboul , Vermaelen , Moses (c) , Bale , Valencia , Van Persie , Adebayor . Not playing - Reina , Riise , Dempsey , Mata , Suarez .

Andy

EDIT - I only read Pascal's post before . Thanks Ed , Simon

Packed this in a while ago as I found it too high maintenance too.

However I'm interested in the multi entrant comment as I thought it was limited to five entries per person :?

Some of the lists on the site suggest this wasnt the case??

Hi, I've just joined FISO. Just seen comments on last year's DM competition and found them fascinating to read. I know it finished a month ago but just wanted to congratulate the top three - well done! I came fourth, having been second with 2 weeks to go. I remember one key moment with the finishing line in sight where it all went pear-shaped. I had a crucial decision to make with either to go with Suarez, Rooney or Aguero before transferring to Lamps or VDV. I went for Aguero to VDV but made the wrong decision as Suarez to VDV ended up being the best points return of the three. Easy to say in hindsight.... but it dawned on me about 3 days later, that this particular pathway actually created an extra game for VDV also, therefore this was clearly the best choice to make  !! Sounds stupid to miss this (and it was  ) however I think with the pressure of the smell of money in the air, and over-analysing the situation I just missed the blindingly obvious. Doh!
Anyway, its a learning curve and last season taught me a lot. I enjoyed it thoroughly and can't wait for next season to begin....... :D

There are several who are regarded as 'class players' but in truth are just blessed with a big family and a lot of spare time.

Have you not noticed how good women are at fantasy football. They also have
husbands, brothers and sons who happen to be very good players as well.

Check out the monthly leaderboards in particular.
