  I think Bartel has done enough to get you up but it was looking dicey in the first quarter when Cox was ripping it up.

Apologies chaps for making a bit of a mockery of a few fixtures... I started badly and my holiday came at a time when I really needed to make some trades so I've had plenty of donuts, spuds, and some PortoCabinesque scores. My team has been left to ride (rot) for 5 straight weeks now but I'll be trading up a storm as of this week... watch out fellow minor premier contenders. 8-)

Same goes for SC :)

It looks like I`m going to make it, CY got his fair share of bad luck this morning, with injuries to Goodwin and Embley, and no injury to Taylor Walker, the crows game was unbelievable, best game I`ve watched yet 8-)

I genuinely thought the doughnut would be the undoing of me

I just need to hope that Captaining Bartel and not GA jr dose not cost me my Eliminator match :(

Actually, maybe I am looking good in this game?

Ted:
1586 + 106 for 2 emergencies = 1692
Cheney
Shaw (is he playing nowadays?)
Swan
Cloke
to play

Sarky:
1690
Grimes
Swan
Sidebottom
to play

Ah, the DT site includes your emergencies but doesn't put them into your side. Crap site. So I have 1586.

What scores are everyone on? I thought I was having a terrible week but I'm now 2001 in DT with Sidebottom to come.

I'm 1797 in SC with Grimes and Lockyer to Come. I got a donut thanks to Ziebell though.

1658, Grimes and Sidey to play. One 0 from Hartlett. A bad week, but it could have been worse- I switched captain from SJ to Volt at the last minute. Still going to lose my double header against Dalythgoe, but I'll be better once I can sort out my backs.

1692, with Lockyer, Grimes and Sidey to come. Have lost my League game already, but got through the Eliminator again despite an unexpected donut from Drummond (fortunately my opponent had Goddard as Captain while I had GAJ, which has got me through by about 100 points.)

6/7 backs all scored less than their average this week.
6/7 mids all scored less than their average.
both rucks and 4/7 forwards.

So just 18/22 underperforming this week then to give me the worst score of the week on a week ABC went nuts. Fuggit.

Since there's no trades thread this week and it's a bit late to start one, I just thought I'd say that I brought in Darren Milburn for Chad Cornes and Port new boy Danny Meyer for Mitchy Robinson.

Meyer's a risk, but so long as he gets a couple of games and fills a gap until Liam Anthony appears (possibly never!) or Hartlett or Muston are ready for selling I'll be happy.

As for Milburn, well he's cheap and if his old legs keep going he'll be consistent. There were a few other options like Gilbee, Gram and Ellis and I nearly went for Mundy but didn't.

I had to get rid of Chad this week too after Embley went down and Bowden got dropped  - I went with Grimes. I ought to have waited a week longer to bring in Bartel but its kinda now or never as far as the ladder goes and a crack at the top 8 and as i am playing another with the full ABC compliment i also got shot of Robinson.

I know what you mean, you can hold off for weeks to make the right trade but the game is about winning head-to-heads.

If I had waited I might have gone Cornes  Hodge but that would put me back another week from upgrading in the mids and would have left me playing a weaker defence. In hindsight I probably should have made a trade last week just to put me a bit further down the line towards the team I want. But I wasn't to know Hartlett would miss two rounds or Robinson or Yarran wouldn't return and there weren't many downgrade options anyway. There still aren't as it happens, hence the trade to Meyer.

Can I just be clear about this ABC thing?

I have always thought that it's Ablett, Bartel and Corey - but as I don't have Corey is it actually Ablett, Bartel and (Big) Cox? :?

I always assumed it the same way you did X: ABC is the three big Geelong mids.

Same here. Can't see how I'm going to get rid of them, but I really want to. Can't stand sub 50s from supposedly nailed-on members of my final 22.

I don't understand how Houlihan went from scoring 70 up to 100 odd to only 40-50 :?

Apparantly it's down to a role change, so his scores are likely to be affected as long as he keeps playing in his new position. Although he's been playing well by all accounts so his job security has improved at least.

Aye, his job might be safe at Carlton, but this is Crocodile Dundee FC and we'll not be accepting his recent form.

Oh aye, Luke 'reliable' Hodge.

I might have to do that as well, although I want to leave it another week. I'll see how the dust settles on round 12.
