You may smile about Baxter, but he's got to play Dudbridge in the 3rd Round before he even gets to any of the Top 32!!!

Worth checking out the draw: http://www.planetdarts.tv/page/UKOpenDe ... 77,00.html

I dont see that as a bad thing though, I agree its a tough draw for baxter and dudbridge, but being in the earlier rounds means more opportunity to score points

put 10 in , but blundered missing van gerwen's name completely!

i know nothing about darts!

got off to a good start - is anyone doing a mini, haven't got a clue of deadline for it, scoring or anything.

manged to go banker on the two bottom category players that made the last 8/16.

i think my best teams had 8 in the last 16.

i suspect my van gerwen blunder will come back to haunt me, but if not i might yet have some fun with the comp.

andy.

can't read my own writing, just looked at the scores, best had 7 in last 16, 2 in last 32 and hamilton seems to have gone missing

van gerwen would have helped there

so best i think

barney
lloyd
hamilton
jenkins
wade
part
osborne
dudbridge
hine
webster

a bit of fun but disppointing to see the sun putting in their standard effort re updates

 Good fun going in for fantasy comps on sports (how can darts be a sport) one knows nothing about...

Van Gerwen is obviously the Ronaldo of this comp, like I'd have any idea

I should have stuck to my original plan and gone for anyone with Van in their name

Andy...Interesting how we both know FA about Darts and yet end up with the same team albeit yours is Van-less

Bit of fun though as you say....Just waiting for the leader-boards and the inevitable Bear 1, 2, 3....etc

Have fun

John

The points scoring is doing my head in... might take a while for me to get my head around it!!

Had Vander vort and Barney in 1 team though..... 8-)

QUESTION

If Taylor loses and 3 of your other players win, do they get the bonus 7 points for winning by a better margin than phil??

i've either got 378 or 399 points depending on that answer...... :?:

you would have thought so.find it strange that you get less points from last 16 onwards.surely it should be the other way round

I also treated myself to some teams even though my knowledge of darts is very limited. Therefore my teams are probably very similar since I assume most others used odds and rankings to pick their teams. As a result, unfortunately, no Van der Voort.

Best is 379 but i haven't included any possible points for after Taylor was out. (the extra 7). My interpretation of the rules are if he doesn't play then you dont get the bonus points. This would appear to cover preliminary rounds and once he's out.

T&Cs make it clearer.

If Taylor wins, then you get the 7 points for winning by a bigger margin than he does.

So I've not taken any 7 pointers for the round in which he lost or onwards when he didn't play.

First scoring update seems to have been done.

Van Gerwen's score is showing strangely on my teams, seems that I have not been allocated his 1st round points.

PLAYER NAME Group Pts TEAM* Pts GAME
Michael van Gerwen B 48 64

Anyone else notice any other issues?

Yes, my score is stated as 340 but clearly adds up to 379!

probably not much point if you want to go for the main prizes, but if you just want to play for fun then they are doing a 2 for 1 team offer.
