Just to clarify, it seems the Eagles is facing the same issue as The Enemy and will lay low for the season, unfortunately. Without word from and with respect to our captain, MvL, I won't look for new players.

Instead, perhaps it makes sense for Le Red and myself to form the foundation of a new team for the season?

Sorry for being absent/slow on all this - very busy.

We're at 28 declared teams so doesn't look like we'll get 32 but 30 is certainly possible - 2 new teams from those still available - or 1 plus a new set of Virgins if I can drum up enough interest. So please feel free to get a new team together.

Also will now look to start this in GW5 - which gives a little more time and we can still fit all the fixtures in with a break over Christmas/New Year.

I'll try and be more active over the next few days to get this going.

Sounds like there's a good chance this will come together - great group.

I'm going to work on the assumption that is the case and will try and drum up 5 virgins to make 30 teams - I've seen a few new posters about so hopefully can get that to work.

If anyone can think of some good candidates to approach - especially a captain - please shout or give them a nudge in the right direction. ta

That's the idea - see a few posts above - recommendations/nudging/press-ganging to get a Virgins team together looks the way to get an even number of teams and it would also be good to get some newbies involved.

It's always been a bit fluid but basically not played 5AS before - new(ish) to FISO preferred, to encourage new posters, but that's a bit woolly.

It’s Romyn who does the heavy lifting running the game (not me). As per a few posts up from here, he’s taking details so make sure your FPL link is up to date and/or post a link here. There’s a more complete explanation in the original post.

Stokies have declared as well now - so if the Stray Cats (or whatever they are to be called) get together then we'd have 30 teams without the Virgins.

I think there's probably time in that case to get a Virgins team together and one more from somewhere - Spies and Ex-Virgins are still nowhere to be seen so maybe some of them could get together. Getting 32 would make it slightly easier for me as I wouldn't have to make many adjustments from last year.

So if you're interested in playing please shout - hopeful we can accomodate everyone who wants in.
