I thought I was taking part this season. I am certainly in the Conference League for the H2H competition.
I would like a slot when the next applications are invited.

MoSe wrote: 08 Aug 2018, 08:23 HOW TO REGISTER
Post here your team GW History link.

No exception will be made.
All teams, either new or returning, have to renew their interest here at the beginning of every season.
That's all it's required, one post per season, not that much nor difficult.
Any PM or other channel will be ignored, sorry. You have to post here. Take it as a muster you have to pass.

One post, one Divisionals player.
That way it remains on records here for all to see, whether you registered or not. So please don't ask here, I won't reply.
Hopefully you'll be able to check on your own whether there is your registration post in this topic or not.

EDIT: CW succesfully regsitered for Round 2 in the Registration thread :)

and you contributed to it ;), by (unsolicitedly! I mean, without I had to ask for it) herding and leading quite a few new players and/or fiso veterans to the game

actually, the work is just a few hectograms,
once set up it's rather streamlined and it could be even lighter if I didn't like to keep some hands-on control rather than delegate it all to macros (macro-free badge! ;))
It only requires a few copy-pasting from mobile, as the google sheet sorting options are quite threadbare in the mobile version, and I had ro recur to a hidden tab trick
luckily there's one fewer division this season anyway ;)
Let's never forget to credit Mav3rick who took 95% of the burden away by providing his data fetching/aggregation tools

you might have noticed tho that there's no review, nor updates notifications and stats highlights this season
comments are left entirely to the players, it's up to you all to avoid this topic will look like a desert (albeit The Sheltering Sky was one of my fave novels)

/over 8-)

I've been too embarrassed to look.

On the plus side: I avoided relegation; the -8 won't count and I'm am getting to grips with the season's vibe\zeitgeist.

Promotion to the Prem beckons

Re: ►►FISO Divisional Championships 2018/19 - Season 14 Round 2 - WHAT IF

Post by MoSe »

Please excuse me if I come out of the wings to briefly take the stagefront from you all.

Most of you know from last season when I highlighted the round High Score in the Division Winners table,
that it never occurred in Premier League, and only once in Championship (by AR in R3)
viewtopic.php?p=3099075#p3099075
unlike real life, where you can object that in lower tiers you have weaker opposition,
here it's not H2H, so a round high score would have stood as high score in PL too.... IF ONLY had you earned the right to play there!

Not meaning to rub salt into thesilkworm wounds, but just to show how previous rounds events can ripple their effects in following ones....
thesilkworm, already twice a Champion (in last two seasons opening rounds), failed to repeat his trick for the third season too,
on the contrary, he fell to Championship due to bad last two GWs in R1 (FPL 7 & 8), mainly FPL GW7 where he got a 4.6M rank :(
his score there was 12p below avg, and he got relegated in the end by 7p
HAD he got in GW7 a score just closer to FPL avg, he'd have survived R1 drop, and... he'd have won this Round PL Title with 338p, by a 20p margin over actual Champion! :o

This is not to belittle in any way a fully deserving the Round 2 Champion Ardrageen, who's been for several rounds up there contending for title
Ardrageen is fully deserving because he's a long time PL player and finally topped it to translate his form into something concrete here*
(*he's also the last 2 or 3 seasons FISO H2H champion if I'm not mistaken)
To earn a Divisionals PL Title, you have to get there first (made harder by 1 fewer promotion), and then stay there.

I'm very sorry for thesilkworm, Fiso Forum best player in 14/15 being 7th overall,
a slip in a single GW in previous round (just getting a GW rank around 3.5M,his 2nd worst GR this season, would have earned him 8p more, and safety)
denied him the chance to claim his 3rd title, as he didn't lose his form

Glad this meant the never-faltering Ardrageen could earn his 2nd instead (and 6 years after his maiden one, when he even sported a different Fiso username!) :D
BTW, El Tel, a 4 time Champion, was the one contending it in a last spurt, ending only 5p behind
And, hadn't SuperGrover retired from the game, he'd have got 3rd in PL in R1 (joint with Ardrageen on 337p, but 2 more Transfers), and won it now with 330p (in tsw absence)

stage back to you
<retires behind the wings again>
