I would dearly love to get a promotion in the last round and get back at least to where I started the season. It has been an awful season for me but it would be nice to end it on an up.

I have turned into King Midas in reverse. Any footballer I choose for my team stops behaving as one in the very minute I confirm "transfer".

The trend is evident and is spelled d-o-w-n. It will be difficult to avoid the drop. The good thing in the world of sports is that there is always another season waiting where hopes still are alive and well.

Impressive performances by the two teams in the lead by the way.

Congrats to the latest Champion thebillfella for his maiden title, having climbed up all the way from League One just 3 rounds ago.
A just above avg score in last GW allowed him nevertheless to extend his comfortable lead over runner-ups

Of this season 7 Champions, THREE will have to start next season in Championship (barring vacancies in PL to fill up)
Whilst Ardrageen finally managed to bounce back up from L.One where he had fallen,
he'll be indeed joined by Bølla pinnsvin and Tall Paul, who couldn't keep in the run-in the excellent season pace which led them atop in R4/R5

After having celebrated Champions (i.e. Premier League winners) and all Division Winners,
the distinctive element in a competition based on tiered Divisions, are indeed Promotions and Relegations

Season 14 MOVERS Summary

the table is sorted by total "moves" (∑ = Promotions + Relegations)
then by increase in Season Starting division (∆ = S15 start - S14 start (R1) )

it also reports you High and Low tier this season, and how many rounds you spent in PL

it's read-only, but feel free to download your local copy and tinker at will to highlight different stats

Only two players had 6 moves, that is, they only kept their division once in the season
with opposing performances tho

Caf had 4 consecutive climbs at season start
other 3 players had 4 climbs in the season, but not consecutive
2 thereof never had a drop, sdhough & candleking, so 4 is also their division differential for next season, best in the season


12 players had 3 climbs, and 4 thereof had them in a streak: CertiF, Chinese Whisperer, Geoffv and mandoncare

37 players will start next season where they started this one (barring vacancies and reshuffling)
only 7 never changed division tho (*)
5 had 4 moves, 2 ups and 2 downs
the remaining 25 had 1 up + 1 down during the season

(*) of those 7, Pulpy and wiseowl65 spent 7 rounds in PL
a 3rd player Joccki_10 also did it, but got 1 drop as he got relegated in the end in last round, this counts as a change

20 players played in PL each round, this makes 140 PL "berths" for the season
of course having only 4 Relegation, and thus promotions from championship, you can't have 20 new playes every round

36 different players spent at least 1 round in PL this season, thus distributed by total PL rounds

considering 20 started the season in it, 16 have reached it during the season
only Caf managed it starting from Conference, Geoffv from L.Two

this leaves 97 teams in the competition (out of 133) who didn't manage to reach PL in the season
they'll all have a chance next season, if they renew their registration.
