They did maintenance last night....looks like they may have hit a problem I think as it can't take this long to sort things out
I saw that but all the numbers have gone now

I reckon they read this board and spotted a glitch

Site seems to be up again now.

Appears I managed to purchase £10,174.73 of my new fund, which works out at more or less 10% of my new total (£101,756.79) less a bit of commission.

Figure's don't really add up though, and I still shouldn't have been able to buy that much? :?

What was your total before the purchase?
It may be that you had excess cash lying around

My plan is working as hoped. I'm perfectly positioned to take over once this current mini-boom capitulates to the impending recollapse of world markets once everyone remembers that there isn't actually any reason why things are suddenly better than they were a mere few weeks ago!

There's a team prize this time around - if FISO could win this against the traders our reputation would be sealed 8-)

Shall we have a FISO'ons league?

Would be rude not to.

I suspect FISO will need to improve a bit on 368th place though.

I couldn't get my head around this last year, but I'll have another go as it's free.

There is a "refer a friend" prize of £2,000.

Whenever a player invites somebody else, both people get entered into a prize draw for the £2,000.

If anybody's interested, please email me at probouleutic@gmail.com so that I can refer you. Then we'll each get an entry into the draw.

Anyone paying attention this year - I have to say I am not but find myself in around 560th about 9% off the lead - will probably switch to super risky to see what happens!

'The game may have ended for now, so well done to anyone who persevered. In a volatile year that witnessed the eurozone sovereign debt crisis but soaring natural resources, turmoil in north Africa but thriving emerging market growth, what was key for investors was to remain involved - and make the most of opportunities as they came and went.

So without any further ado...

*And the winner is...*

Congratulations to player Sydney 009, who scooped the overall prize for the main Fantasy Fund Manager game with a very impressive 35.60% return. While Sydney 009's selections varied over the game their strategy benefited from a very active approach.

Moving between OEICs, investment trusts and cash, among the funds that Sydney 009 traded regularly were the JPMorgan Elect Managed Cash, JPMorgan Natural Resources, JPMorgan Emerging Markets IT and JPMorgan US Smaller Companies.

Of the 56 JPMorgan funds and 150 funds from other providers, a bias towards smaller companies was evident in our top performing funds for the course of the game.

BlackRock UK Smaller Companies
JPMorgan Smaller Companies IT
Marlborough Special Situations
First State Global Resources
JPM Natural Resources
JPM UK Smaller Companies
Standard Life UK Smaller Companies
JPM European Smaller Companies Trust plc
BlackRock UK Special Situations
Neptune Russia & Greater Russia

*Overall winners*

1st place - Sydney 009 (£20,000) - 35.60%
2nd place - Jon D (£5,000) - 33.87%
3rd place - Known as Len (£2,500) - 33.39%

Team winner

Optimates - team manager, Mcmayhem (£3,000 Buy-a-Gift vouchers) - 24.48%

*Monthly winners*

1st place - I like Beetles (£750)
2nd place - Known as Len (£250)
3rd place - Four Candles (£100)

Team winner

Bridge Burns - team manager, Sydney 009 (£500)

Monthly Fund Selector Challenge - February prediction 'Bankstersule' (Neath) 'Investec Global Energy' (winner of a box of luxurious Bordeaux wine)

*If you enjoyed playing Fantasy Fund Manager...*

Watch this space for the next game! There will be another game this year, we just need to finalise the details. We'll let you know as soon as it is ready to announce.

Good luck!
