WEEK 36
Thought I'd post something before tonights game...
Tuesday - 13th April 2010
8pm - Chelsea v Bolton
A fairly straightforward choice of Lampard (70), Malouda (57) or Drogba (52)…
If you have a couple or all of them , the numbers in brackets show their scores over the last 6 weeks…
Wednesday - 14 April 2010
7.45 pm - Aston Villa v Everton
7.45 pm - Wigan v Portsmouth
8.00 pm - Tottenham v Arsenal
Will RVP return… is Milner fit… how long before Lennon returns to action?
Lots of possible captain choices on Wednesday… Carew is the in form player of those in these matches… followed by Arteta and Young
Saturday - 17 April 2010
12.45 pm - Man City v Man Utd
Interesting choice to make… Tevez/ Adebayor or Rooney (assuming he is passed fit)?
-----
3.00 pm - Birmingham v Hull
3.00 pm - Blackburn v Everton
3.00 pm - Fulham v Wolverhampton
3.00 pm - Stoke v Bolton
3.00 pm - Sunderland v Burnley
Bent, Duff, Cahill and Arteta would all appear likely captains…
For those without… it may mean captaining a Birmingham/ Everton/ Fulham or possibly even a Stoke defender
-----
5.30 pm - Tottenham v Chelsea
Ditto: CHE v BOL… Drogba, Lampard or Malouda…
Sunday - 18 April 2010
1.30 pm - Wigan v Arsenal
Many will be relying on The Verm, Almunia or Nzogbia as captain for this flange…
Those who stuck with Arshavin will be hoping he’s fit and firing on all cylinders…
-----
4.00 pm - Portsmouth v Aston Villa
Most will have either or both attacking and defending Villa cover…
Monday - 19 April 2010
8.00 pm - Liverpool v West Ham
Hopefully by the time of the kick off we’ll have heard that Torres is fit to play
Otherwise Gerrard, Kuyt or a Liverpool defender look like the likely choices
Best of luck for a high scoring week... all 8 flanges of it

Re: WEEK 36
Nice preview MV! A big week this, with 8 flanges: that's more than 1/3 of the remainder of the season!
The injury hits just seem to keep on coming: Torres and Insua at the weekend, Kranjcar and Arteta out this midweek, who will be struck down next? Injuries could be a big factor in the TFFO races for both 1st and 3rd, guess it's time to cross all the fingers you can find!
Good luck all!

Good luck with the run-in guys.
I havn't been around for a while, but I've been keeping half an eye on the usual suspects. Hopefully I'll be back next season, if it's still going.

Re: WEEK 36
Nice preview, MV and good to hear from NFG again.
Not the expected Chelsea points fest tonight - but still good news for those of us who were forced to hang on to Cech when he was injured! I was suprised that Drogba started (thought that he'd be saved to terrorise what remains of the Spurs defence at the weekend), but switched my Starman to him - from Lamps - in my T50 side.
Good fun limping along to the finish line, with no transfers left, but still passing those who appear to be rooted to the spot. Insua is my only Liverpool player, so I'm hoping that Torres will only feature in the Europa League games.
Tomorrow night is a big one for my final transfer - Nasri (for Fabregas), although it's a tough one to choose between him, Cahill and Milner.
Toughest W36 choice is probably Tevez or Rooney in the Manchester derby. I'll be going with Carlos, but have a feeling that he might not be able to control his temper if certain United players (Neville & Scholes spring to mind) get in his face.
All the best everyone.

Re: WEEK 36
32 (Generals), 34 (ISO) and 43 (other team valiantly battling to make an appearance in the top 100 before season's end) for me this week.
Well done to FrankieFrog who took 3rd off me yesterday, a 2 point gap in his favour now but hopefully there'll be more chops and changes to come!

Re: WEEK 36
Matched the Generals for points yesterday - our squads maybe more similar than I thought and makes those starman choices even more crucial now.
Great battle for 1st place, though I'm sure not too good for a full night's sleep. Good Luck MV!

Re: WEEK 36
Up to 38th and would have been higher, if I'd starred Cahill instead of Nasri. However, another injury (Vermaelen) to add to Carvalho and Insua. Great battle at the top of the leaderboard and good to see former champion FrankieFrog back in a podium position.
Still inching up the YTM T20 (now in 7th), but blew T100 TFF chances by missing the last couple of KOs (forgot that 7.45pm was the Wednesday deadline ).

Re: WEEK 36
After a good month or so it's not quite been happening for my top side in recent weeks and with the top 2 out of sight and 3rd and 4th opening a gap on the rest of us it's looking like the best I can do is try to hang onto a top 10 spot. Made a few bad star man decisions recently and hoping to get things back on track this weekend - tricky one to start with though. I've got no clashes this week, but given the mounting injuries coverage is looking thin for the odd flange .
Good luck to all!

Re: WEEK 36
What a day in the PL, how many more twists and turns can possibly be left?! A good day TFFO-wise for me, scores of 49 (ISO), 42 and 60 (Generals). Everything seemed to go right for Generals today, got to be fairly confident of taking back 3rd place tomorrow morning.

Re: WEEK 36
Think the Generals might now be in a one-horse race for 3rd with that hit of 60. For all the ground I made up last week I lost it all, and some, by just managing a paltry 21 today . Hope MV faired better in the battle for top spot.

Re: WEEK 36
Fantastic tussle at the top; hope it doesn't go to a penalty shoot-out...
I seem to be stuck in 14th, and been Torres-ed recently, but still gunning for the top 10. Also got another team moved in to 49th. Looking to Milner today to bag a goal or two.
Best of luck to those near the top (and a word of congratulation to Cold Pigeon as well for holding his own - wouldn't be surprised if he's a lurker anyway!)

Well done MV, I expect that should give you a nice little cushion back.
Just 11 for Generals today, 30 for my ISO and 11 for my 'other one'.

Up to 19th now and another 30 points today, think the top 10 is just too far away for me though.
Hope benching Hangeland in the game at Liverpool because I thought they would concede will not come back to haunt me.

Re: WEEK 36
A better day for my top side yesterday after a poor Saturday so hanging in there at 5th. A late rally from my 2nd and 3rd squads sees them up to 19th and 21st, which is about as high as they've been all season.
I was hoping it'd be a good day for you yesterday MV with N'Zogbia being one of your ISO recommendations. Good to see you opening up a bit of a gap.
