Q1) Any idea whether my Animals would have won the £500 on offer for the Superleague prize - had it been on offer last season ? ie. do you need a league with at least 5 different managers not just 5 different teams :?

Q2) If "The Animals" aren't admissible to win would my teams be welcome in the FISO league ?
1. Not sure

2. Yes
Same as murf really. Not sure if you would win the prize as it isn't that clear, but you are of course welcome into the superleague. :)

As for the cup NFG, I will run it from the main fiso league.

And for those wondering, you can put as many teams in this league as you like. Although not ISO teams please as it will have it's own league.

As I understand it, Mini/Super League prizes go directly to the relevant Chairperson. It is then up to that person to distribute the prizes.

Some competitions, e.g. YTM, specify that mini leagues only qualify for prizes if the relevant number of teams (i.e. Top 5) are managed by more than 1-3 people. This does not appear to be the case in TFFO, probably because (with the odd exception to date) it is not targetted by mass entrants.

Therefore, I believe that, if the Animals were to finish in the first 5 places of a winning FISO Super League, Oddsman would be entitled to the lot.

In general - my long-held belief is that, while the number of teams any single manager can enter in a SL should not be restricted, the calculations (and therefore prizes) should only include the best entry from any one individual.
However, I do appreciate that is a rather utopian view of the commercial realities of FF and - with the notable exception of CYKI (a single entrant game, anyway) - most FF providers are quite happy that ML/SL prizes are purely an extension of the individual prizes.

Yes sorry - quite right AK. I misread your post Oddsman... if you entered the FISO league and finished in the top 5 places you would get the full £500. It will be dished out as £100 for every team that occupies the top 5 places in the league (if we win).

Wouldn't dream of denying anyone their due.

Absolutely - we have to play by the rules set by the game's providers. I don't happen to like the rules, but that's my problem. :|

Cheers PG & AK for clearing up the FISO position.

I have sent an email to the Tele regarding "1 manager only" Super Leagues - hopefully they will clear up that matter shortly.

Happy to play fairly by the rules as always - after all Hedgehog and none of the 'The Animals' were managed by Eliza Doolittle  and wont be this season.

Finally got a reply from the Tele.

Thank you for your recent correspondence.
If you had a super league that consisted of 5 of your own teams then thats fine, you would still be eligible to win the mini league prize.
So hopefully The Animals will be engaged in another head to head battle with the collective might of FISO. Despite being the underdog again I will relish the challenge :)
