drinking my morning cupppa. I am retiring to the Horlicks factory (is it still in Slough ? ) Will keep the jersey score but hand over points duty to a committee of 3 to produce an agreed answer for the first 3 stages and then the remaining 18. You will have to agree about double points for mountain finishs. I shall just enjoy the French scenery on TV most afternoons.

Sorry - that was aimed at the actual race not this comp! They used to give double King of the Mountains points for mountain top finishes. They only gave Sagan single points yesterday, with double points he would have led the category, worn a spotty top and got a point in this. Probably good for me that he didn't as most folks have Sagan's team!

EDIT - according to Wikipedia: Since 2004, points scored on the final climb of the day have been doubled where that climb was at least a second category climb.
So, yesterday's little hill wasn't mountain enough as I speculated (though I'm not sure what harm doubling a 2 pointer would be when you can get 50 if you win on an HC summit!)

the race 'jury' have not come up with an agreed points tally so I have amended the scoring values. A jersey is worth 1 point for each stage and a stage win is worth 5.
After 5 stages Laudrup leads on 28. forestfan 27, Vid and Ashers 26. murf 25, morganb 22, theo 21, MVL 20 muddy 19, Gregs Eggs 11, Potter 4.

The well fancied Movistar ( 7 choices) have not achieved anything so far and 5 choice Confidis as well. Stage 6 coming up.
