Brilliant stuff. Happiest I've been for a GT winner since maybe Brad, as our first in 2012 or G 2 years ago.

well he has to be up there.
He does look nice on the bike, almost David Miller-esqe :-)

Think he'll have to deliver for a few more seasons to compete with Indurain for the best TT'er I've seen (never saw Anquetil), but he is very very good. 30 seconds on the field on a 10 mile TT isn't too shabby

I think like Murf I can’t recall being happier for a GT winner since Brad.

Not sure. That win just never grabbed me like this underdog's tale.

I still get the 2 Yates confused so maybe they each resultantly don't have an individual personality in my mind!

With Carapaz taking the red jersey in today’s Vuelta stage you could say Ineos have had worse days

Talking of Yates Teo appears to be getting a lot more publicity in the media than in the aftermath of Simon Yates winning the Vuelta.

I guess it’s partly because Simon rode for an Australian team rather than a British funded one. Partly also the story of a super dom rising to the top in a GT.

Business end of the Vuelta about to commence.

Got to say with this Tour being so late the great thing is the autumnal colours which are spectacular.

Great rides from Donovan and Carthy today.

Too little, too late from Carapaz. Did look as if he was riding twice as fast as Roglic (and those towing him) but the gap hovered at around 22s.

Nice to see Chris Froome awarded the Vuelta winners trophy today.

For 2011 in which he originally finished runner up to JJ Cobo. Cobo was stripped of his title. In so doing Froome now actually beats Sir Brad to become Britain’s first ever GT winner.

Brad moved here when he was 5?

Froome never moved here, as it was easier to get a License as a Brit....

? He raced under a Kenyan licence initially so couldn't have been that hard to get!

Unc will know the details... I think he got the free Kenyan spot for Worlds and other stuff, but Pro Licence was tricky.

Blah you’re perfectly entitled to disregard him as a Brit but the record books say......

That’s good enough for me. I don’t care where they lived or whether they rode in the Commonwealth games for another country.

Yes to both as it is like Zola Budd and the SA cricketers that played for us during the ban... excluding Basil, obviously.

Quick quiz question.....

Roglic won his 2nd Grand Tour at the weekend but who, before that, was the last rider to win their 2nd Grand Tour?

(bonus points for race and year)
