2017 SBru: US Open Championship - Boddington
Hi All
Try this link.
Same as Wimbledon ... pick four players each day who are going to outperform the others.
Do anything you can to better your neighbour. NO knowledge of Tennis required - Surprised showed us last time (ME? BITTER? NO!!)
Do everything possible to prevent Surprised get two in a row !!
Best of luck all!!

Re: 2015 SBru Tennis Prediction - US Open
Anybody got suggestions as to how to improve this prediction tennis game ?
I'm happy to pass feedback directly to Superbru.
I've only got Dream Team to compare it with (which is fantasy rather than prediction) and the late withdrawal of Sharapova completely ruined that competition for me, before a ball was hit.
Maybe some sort of 1st sub system or default pick if there is a last minute drop out perhaps?
But how to improve prediction tennis?
Increase the number of predictions and score points on outcomes rather than games won?
Any better ideas?

Number of picks would be a big start.

As I'm 7th globally and no.1 in England, I think its just fine
As my eternal floating near the bottom in SamD's game will attest - running this on luck seems to work.

Sorry, Murf ... just to clarify ... "number of picks" ...murf wrote:Number of picks would be a big start.
does that mean you would prefer a greater number of selections (so that there is greater variety in scoring between players)
or does that mean you would prefer pick the outcome of more/all matches?

Prefer to pick more players or more often ( first draft last for days and doesn't get you excited )

I shared this feedback with SuperBru Admin, murf ... it might make useful food for thought.
I suggested more picks per round rather than the simple version.
Time will tell if they use your feedback.

I don't know where the string for 2016 went, so I'm using this one, purely for posterity ...
As with Wimbledon it was the first two days that made or broke the challengers in this competition ...
Boddington pulled off two consecutive 100+ predictions in the first 4 rounds and it was plain sailing after that ...
hammerddh put in a strong push in the Semi Final, but Boddington matched it, earning himself his second Tennis trophy in the season ... Nice work!!
That all folks!! till 2018 ...
