NFL Predictions Game - Season 6

It's back for a 6th year!!!!!!!, the NFL game with no name game

The season kicked off on yesterday, but who cares about that...

Here's what you have to do. Pick one team each week to win and the winning margin will be your points score for the week. However you can only pick each team once.

Anyone who fails to make a weekly entry i.e. before KO of the final game of the week, will be score -20pts and will sacrifice the highest +ve scoring team left valid to them that week - alphabetically chosen if required due to equal scores

Selections must be made before the KO of the selected Game each week

If your team loses, the margin of defeat will be subtracted from your overall score.

As an added twist you will need to save the better teams for the playoffs. If you are unable to select a team during the playoffs you will be penalised 30 points.

Please feel free to reserve your entry below, however entry will be confirmed by week one selections. Entry in weeks 2 and beyond will carry a penalty of the loss of the highest defeated team in terms of points, and the opportunity to pick the highest scoring team of week 1 (etc etc)...

So SP4, if I read the rules right, you effectively need to be picking teams you think will win each week, but won’t make the post season to maximise your points potential late on?

With that in mind, do you not fancy Minnesota to make a deep run this year?

Well, I suppose it’s a case of tactics, it’s so hard to call the first few weeks until you get an idea of who is going to be good and who is going to be crap this season... so maybe you have to sacrifice a few likely play-off teams to get a decent start.

In terms of recruiting the numbers - might be an idea to PM the regulars from last season? Traffic here will be quiet in international week!

Pmed all last yesr's players. Vikings may be good or bad, should win though I hope.

Can't remember the exact rule for those missing a week, do they lose the highest scoring team of that week plus -20 penalty? Can anyone work out that line in the rules

I'm going to change slightly the penalty for failing to enter, the score will still be -20 but the player will lose the team that score the highest (difference) that week, so that's Baltimore this week.
