Did anybody watch the Broncos vs Cowboys game!? I fell asleep during the Patriots vs Bengals and missed it!

Re: NFL no chit chat thread week 5
I stayed up way past my bedtime, there was just no way of turning it off.
Denver are a machine, but their D will be their Achilles Heel. The Cowboys really should have won that, and only Romo's ridiculous attempted pass at the end that got picked off gifted it to the Broncos.
I guess he was aware that he was only 50 yards short of the all-time record and could see his name in lights, but it was not to be.

Re: NFL no chit chat thread week 5
These amazing games are killing my beauty sleep, the Saints @ Patriots game went down to the last play with the god-like Brady making a pass that probably only one or two could make. the Saints looked all over the winners, 3 points up as the Pats failed on a 4th down with 2 mins left. Half the fans went home, the writing was on the wall but somehow the Pats grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat.
There were some huge errors of judgement from the Saints D, including one tackle that could have probably ended the game as the receiver wasn't making the touchline with no Time outs left, but the tackler threw him off the field to stop the clock and allow Brady a chance at continuing the drive. One of the most amazing finishes I've seen and coming after last week, wow!

That's what the great QBs bring, above any yardage stats etc. The ability to win games you just have no right to win. Brady doesn't even have any receivers of note at the moment, but he's still got them to 5-1.
And who would have thought the NFC West would be the powerhouse division (all teams at least .500 right now) when the Seahawks won it with a 7-9 record a few years back? It could be the once proud NFC East that is won with 8-8 or worse this season.

I'm also a Pats fan but I saw this one out til the end last night (largely due to staying up late with the 3 week old baby). Tom Brady continues to make things happen - just imagine if we had some receivers!!!
Gronk has got to be back soon, hopefully Talib's injury is not too serious and, although the receivers are a worry, the optimist in me keeps thinking they will click soon.
