Hope the actual leaders have used a lot of transfers trying to win the first half of the group stage prize. Still got 9 myself so hoping to push up that leaderboard.

Vanikolo caught out a few teams yesterday which is a double hit considering his replacement ran in 2 tries.

Yup, same problem here & on my Mac. Wonder if it's a Safari specific problem given Ashers was able to log on earlier?

I see Tony Diprose's "Essex Boys" are climbing the leaderboard, on 430 points. I bet not many famous names are doing better! Is he on FISO?

Re: ESPN - Fantasy World Cup
I'm still trying to work out why I didnt select Laidlaw from the outset and stick he was the obvious choice in a game where you could change your kicker 3 times which only really becomes relevant when switching to a kicker who is not in the Fly Half position. Coupled with the fact that Scotland were not going to relax in any game the chances are he would play in most and finally he is probably Scotlands best player so lined up for motm awards. It's so easy with the benefit of hindsight

Re: ESPN - Fantasy World Cup
With unlimited transfers now I'm going with the following mix:-owenclass wrote:How many Australians do we pick for the Quarters
NZ - 5
AUS - 5
SA - 3
IRE - 2
Now need to work out which ones.

Suppose it depends on the prize you are aiming for.
I'm off the pace, so will go heavy NZ followed by AUS.

Re: ESPN - Fantasy World Cup
Dont be hard on yourself it didn't matter a great deal as switching to Laidlaw then switching back to a FH for the next game used up 2 of the 3 kicker changes. It was a badly thought out irrelevance really !Nabby wrote:I'm still trying to work out why I didnt select Laidlaw from the outset and stick he was the obvious choice in a game where you could change your kicker 3 times which only really becomes relevant when switching to a kicker who is not in the Fly Half position. You look like you're in with a great shout, so nothing crazy needed.
Foley Carter
Earls Kriel or de Allendre
Healey Ayerza
How many transfers do you have left? Need to save 3 for Carter to Foley then 3rd place kicker then Carter.

Still got 7 moves so have enough to do them and the kicker changes and then 1 vanity transfer.

Re: ESPN - Fantasy World Cup
Great, that final transfer could be all important. If you get to 2nd or 3rd with the last 2 games to go, the teams in front of you will be pretty much fixed down, so if you need some points to get past, can roll the dice on someone they don't have. Good luck.

Thanks Ashers.
Just couldn't quite get into the top 4 for a prize. Much enjoyed competition though and well done to all.
