2015 SBru Rugby World Cup Prediction - Winner: Metal Warlord - never in doubt

Post by Mick MacPaddywack »

Hi All

After first sending invites only to those who have participated Rugby Prediction games, I thought better of it and invited you all.
Apologies for the Spam, but some of you play in the 6 nations but none of the other Rugby Comps, so I didnt want to exclude anyone.

Rugby World Cup doesn't start for another couple of months approx, so no panic. But you might like to include it in your diary.
Leave it with you. And if you want to join, the best of luck to you ...

Ireland moved up to 2nd place in the world ranking this weekend.
Looks like my planning on cheap players might be a nightmare.
The big game for the Greens is France, which makes it worse for me. Whoever loses in all likelyhood plays the Kiwis in the quarters

Is anybody able to confirm that
Simon (Simon Brown)
Senor Stragglers (Geoff Vickers)
scumbucket (Steve Ward) are FISO members, or not?

They have applied to participate in our League and haven't responded to my Brumail reply to their application.
I don't want to exclude them if they are valid FISO members.

Would appreciate any assistance.

The top two are sibrown4 and Geoffv on here. Both haunt fantasy cycling amongst others.

All 3 of superbrus World Cup games are great. Especially the one where we pick a squad. Looking forward to these!

As we get to the knockout stages of this competition and as it becomes (slightly) more predictable, margin points become all the more important
After the round 5 - Quarter Finals the scoreboard / leaderboard is as follows:

Image
Image

Metal Warlord leads the pack with good margin points but also excellent GSP which are awarded when you predict all the outcomes in any one round correctly. With 8 GSP Metal Warlord has correctly predicted all outcomes in 4 out of 7 rounds. Nice.
It means that he will be difficult (but not impossible) to catch ...

It is far from cut and dried ... at this stage, with Win/Outcome points increasing each round (and GSP being stopped for the last 2 rounds) one failure to predict an outcome could be devastating to a leader ... Good luck all!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!
to this Year's Champion
Metal Warlord

I'll post the final tables below eventually, but MetalWarlord made it a one horse race from quite far out.
The battle was for 2nd & 3rd, with Rookster unseating highgreenowl in the final stages (bad luck there, mate) ... well done Rookster!!
