Thanks very much for your sneak previews. Have a good summer, and yes, see you in August...tonyp wrote:And now the end is near, and so I face my FA Cup Final curtain. I was at the game and don't disagree with Henry Winter's verdict that the MOTM was...

Superleague victory is mine. I hereby declare the bragging and taunting season open.
Presuming I'm spared and still employed here, I will return next season with my exclusive Sunday night sneak previews.
Have a good summer.

This wins me my superleague! Drogba MOTM would have lost me the title by 1 point, to a bloke who has snuck up gradually but not been top once all season
Whoohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mikel was crap in the first half, kept missing simple square balls. OK, he picked up in the 2nd half, but Drogba was the main man.
Once again this decision smacks of a reporter wanting to avoid the obvious players to make it look like he sees something in the game that none of the rest of us can. Curse you Henry Winter!!
Yes, because of this I have been robbed of 2nd place in my SL by one point. Well, that and Cole's booking.

Hopefully somebody will contact the telegraph, maybe in this weeks survey, if there is one, and explain that this is the sort of nonsense that make MOTM a joke.On the same page in the Paper
the Marks out of 10 are
8 for Ferreira, Drogba, Scholes and Rooney
Mikel only got a 7
Having said that, I still dont mind it as does give you a chance of getting a return from someone who had a great game, but doesnt get goal or KC points.

All depend who awards the marks. The Telegraph sports department officially give the MOTM (they can and do change the reporter's choice).vestan wrote:Hopefully somebody will contact the telegraph, maybe in this weeks survey, if there is one, and explain that this is the sort of nonsense that make MOTM a joke.On the same page in the Paper

Were the marks out of 10 definitely by Henry Winter?

Not that it alters things drastically, but shouldn't O'shea be 0 and not 1? 1 for coming on, but lost that for conceeding the goal.Judio wrote:Code: Select all

Random_Guy, why did you not notice that Judio's post was edited shortly after the time of drummerboy's post, meaning that he'd corrected the error?Random_Guy wrote:drummerboy, why would you deliberately change oshea's points from 0 to 1 so that you could then criticise Judio's supposed 'error'?? Judios original post was perfectly correct...it is merely your 'quote' which is incorrect...
