I can't believe this - yet another week without any MOM points. I really have to question the quality of the decisions made by the DT reporters. Well at least I don't think many Managers would have those chosen that lot of **** this week - what a joke

I don't think there will be much controversy or debate over this weeks MOM's - at last the Telegraph appear to be getting it right.

Unbelievable! I spend weeks waiting for Spurs to get knocked out of the cup so I can get rid of Chimbonda and Malbranque and then they throw a spanner in the works with a CS and MoM.

Now I'm wondering whether I keep them a bit longer.

Arsenal Goal

Post by fazza_1973 »

Hi I'm not debating that there was no assist for Gallas' goal but can someone explain when it comes to corners why some flick ns, corner takers get assists and others not? Thanks

Thanks jOnners,

All KCs checked from Saturday and as predicted, including Hreidarsson. Also checked no KC for Anelka, Toure, were there any other possibles?

Presume in this case it was due to Carragher getting a sufficuient touch to negate preceding KCs.

In general corners that are headed straight in will ALWAYS get a KC for the corner taker, same applies to a straight forward flick on which would give the taker and flicker KCs. Significant defender touches negate preceding work as per the rules.

Thanks Murf - didnt realise Carragher had a touch on it. Cheers

if its a clean flick on to the goalscorer then the corner taker will get it as well.
in this case the flick on was clearly diverted by carragher so no- one gets it.

You're not serious, surely. The pass was tiny, and did not take out any defenders.

Can any serious team not have Ronaldo though? Makes no difference what he gets now, we all get it.

I'd say Lescott (Arteta, AJ).

AJ got a definite flick. There were a couple of very slight deflections (one of a hand?) but they should still get the KCs.

This will definately be interesting to see the outcome of.

Lescott (Arteta) for me although i only saw it in real time and no replays. Hopefully something for AJ too though.
