I think Vidic would then be on minus points for the whole season if that were true.

I am glad you got it, I can see your Avatar laughing.

Everton 1 - 0 Arsenal

Johnson (-)

I am pretty sure he banged it in from a defenders part clearance!

Anyone see the games today and care to nominate a 'Man of the Match'. Fabregas would be nice, though I didn't see the game :D

personally think carsley will get the everton mom, carried what was not a particulalry heavyweight midfield through the game and gave great protection to the back 4, maybe i need to rethink my summer wishlist

Fabregas will definitely not get MOTM. Carsley or AJ look very likely (and very alike)...

No, corner came in from Arteta, AJ flicked it on, bounced around a bit and came off a defender I think and AJ knocked it in

Definitely no KC for Arteta

the villa liverpool could be the first game this season for which they award no MOTM. If you didnt see it, and only read the report, yes, it really was that bad.

I can't think of a single player who came close to rising above mediocrity

I thought Barry did a couple of really good things - no one did many. It's not even like the keepers had any saves to make. They might well give it to a random defnder who no one realised was even playing. Failing that, the very few things that were good in the match normally involved Gerrard somehow.

EDIT: Just seeing the MOTD2 team lists, I've remembered that Mascherano actually had a really good game - maybe him?

here are my opinions on this weeks KCs having
watched MOTD this morning
Blackburn 1-2 West Ham
Samba (Pedersen)
Tevez (-)
Zamora (-) Was never a goal

Chelsea 3-0 Sheff Utd
Shevchenko (Carvalho)
Kalou (Shevchenko, SWP)
Ballack (SWP)

Man Utd 4-1 Bolton
Park (Ronaldo)
Rooney (Ronaldo)
Park (Ronaldo)
Rooney (Smith)
Speed (-)

Middlesbrough 0-2 Man City
Distin (Mpenza)
Mpenza (Barton)

Tottenham 3-1 Watford
Jenas (Chimbonda)
Robinson (-)
Ghaly (Lennon) Defoe didnt split the defence
Henderson (Smith) Chimbonda got a touch so none for Mahon

Reading 0-0 Portsmouth
Wigan 0-0 Fulham
Can't add much to this (thanks Judio) apart from confirming no KC for the Bolton consolation.

While after watching MOTD2, here's my view of today's potential KCs.

Aston Villa 0-0 Liverpool

Charlton 2-0 Newcastle

Zheng (D Bent)
Thomas (Zheng)

Everton 1-0 Arsenal
Johnson (-)

Finally, just a small dig.
