Winter? He did a game on tuesday. Did he do last night's too?

This would suggest Winter thinks its between McCarthy and Friedal and my money would be on Friedal.

'If McCarthy deservedly seized the headlines, bringing some welcome gloss to an otherwise drab contest, Brad Friedel deserved an equal share of the limelight for two magnificent saves. The United States goalkeeper, stretching out an arm like the Statue of Liberty, twice denied Julio Baptista. An American, and the late McCarthy inquisition, broke Arsenal's hearts last night.'

However, it may not actually matter what Winter thinks.....

"If McCarthy deservedly seized the headlines, bringing some welcome gloss to an otherwise drab contest, Brad Friedel deserved an equal share of the limelight for two magnificent saves. "

Bentley's only mention is for being fouled but his name does get prefaced with the adjective 'busy'.

But as we all know now that who Henry Winter picks is fairly irrelevant, it is decided by the 'telegraph sports team' or whatever phrase it is they use.

EDIT - written without seeing fellow great mind sainttelstar had thought the same......

No it's not a wind up - I haven't seen the goal yet due to being out consuming large amounts of alcohol last night!

Shame you didn't look at the post above the guy asking whether it was a wind up. The answer is no, by the way.

Parkender you missed a cracker of a goal in an otherwise dull match.

I think he might have done a bit too much for a KC.
Enjoy

I think Baptista's goal proved how poor he is if that's possible? Total lack of vision and just got very lucky...a bungling bumbling buffoon

I was hoping Bram would have posted his usual spot on review of the day before I went to bed. Like a kid at Xmas I can't wait until tomorrow morning, and I'm desperate to know if Clichy was 'in control' when being bought down for the pen?

I know it's a cardinal sin and I obviouly have no nads but the Misses thought it would be 'nice' to sit down and watch a film together tonight, hence I missed MOTD :? :? Please don't judge me on this - all the way through the film I was picturing Scholes being sent off   and Ashley Cole's two KC and clean sheet come back

My view of yesterday's potential KCs after watching MOTD, some of it only on video.

*** Now confirmed on TFFO ***

Arsenal 2-1 Reading
Silva (Clichy)
Baptista (-)
Fabregas og (-)

Fulham 1-1 Aston Villa
Carew (Barry)
Bocanegra (Queudrue)

Liverpool 0-1 Man United
O'Shea (Ronaldo, Saha)*

Man City 0-1 Wigan
Folan (-)

Newcastle 0-0 Middlesbrough

Portsmouth 0-2 Chelsea

Drogba (Cole)
Kalou (Lampard, Cole)

Sheffield United 1-1 Everton
Hulse (Kazim-Richards)
Atreta (Johnson)

Watford 2-2 Charlton
Bouazza (Priskin, Francis)
Francis (Smith)
Young (Song)
Ambrose (Rommedhal)

* This one is a bit of a new one. Ronaldo's free kick was parried by Reina onto the legs of Saha and then onto O'Shea. I don't see why Ronaldo shouldn't get a KC, but I've no idea how the rules are interpreted here.
