Good result for Newcastle.
Ronaldo passed the ball sideways/backwards to Scholes to strike in from just outside the box. I would assume that's too far out for a KC?

Hope so but i don't think so. Ronaldo laid the ball off too Scholes, who hammered the shot from outside the area

Tricky one (the Ronaldo KC).

The argument is, did Ronaldo take out any defenders with the pass? The way I saw it, he definitely drew 3 defenders into him by holding onto the ball for about 2 seconds, then playing it to Scholes.

However, Scholes then had to shoot through the same players to score.

IMO, no KC for Ronaldo as not enough done to warrant one.

Surprised Scholes got the nod over a Newcastle player. Fair enough he was probably the best player on the pitch and unlucky to have deflected in the equalising goal, but I was expecting a Newcastle player since they were the underdogs.

Any thoughts on a Doyle KC for the Lita goal? I think its possible...he split the defence for the other guy to cross it in..

Watched MotD, plus a few re-runs on the video, but strangely no questions over the lack of Man Utd KCs. Has the tide turned full circle?

My view of potential KCs on New Years Day.

*** Now checked on TFFO ***

Liverpool 3-0 Bolton
Crouch (Kuyt, Pennant)
Gerrard (Pennant, Kuyt)
Kuyt (Garcia)

Man City 2-1 Everton
Samaras (Beasley)
Samaras (Vassell)
Osman (Neville)

Middlesbrough 3-1 Sheffield Utd
Viduka (-)
Jagielka (Hulse)
Yakubu (Boateng, Viduka)
Yakubu (-)

Newcastle 2-2 Man United
Milner (-)
Scholes (-)
Scholes (-)
Edgar (-)

Portsmouth 1-1 Tottenham
Mwaruwari (-)
Malbranque (Murphy)

Reading 6-0 West Ham
Gunnarsson (Shorey)
Hunt (Little, Sidwell)
Ferdinand og (Shorey)
Doyle (Shorey, Harper)
Lita (Doyle, Sidwell)
Doyle (Shorey, Bikey)

Wigan 0-3 Blackburn
Heskey og (Pedersen)
Derbyshire (Neill, Pedersen)
McCarthy (-)

And that completes week 20.

Edit to add missing Pennant KC.

I was going to set up a Reading block defence and Doyle as well for a MOTW attempt at some point, especially as they have Burnley at home Sat. Cheap defence allowing the cream of midfield and strikers. Wouldn't have done it in time for this week to count though. Sure a few on here have got them :) Then again they would also have West Ham blocks

Advance warning: Checking KCs for Saturday is going to be quite tricky when TFFO get round to updating. Yesterday will be in the daily points column, but Saturday will be mixed in with all three matches in the weekly stats. Assuming they do one today, could anyone receiving an early copy of the weekly email from TFF please post it's contents? It might just be the quickest way of finding out this week.

Yes, he is. I'm not sure which goal though, there's just too many in my head at the moment.

Saturday appears as predicted apart from:
No to Arteta (again) , yes to Rooney (but which goal?)

Not predicted and confirmed, no to Gerrard, Kuyt, Johnson.

Edit after Ben Haim recount.

Correct, having just found it in 3 hours of video. Now to work out why Arteta didn't get either KC ...
