Does anyone else think netting 0 points that scoring your own rebounded penalty is just farcical? Liverpool scored a goal from the set piece at the end of the day.

I think -5 for a missed pen is daft precisely for this point!

I can see wahy you think its a bit daft but he should get -5 after all he missed the spot kick - he gets another chance and scores so its 5 points - fair in my book but annoying!

Liverpool 3 - Fulham 0

Carragher (Agger)

Couldn't see who took the corner but they should get a KC.

Garcia (Agger)
Other posts indicate it was a Gerrard corner (hope so)
It was a Gerrard KC

4th goal - Gonzalez (direct free kick)

Not being picky but there has been contraversy on this thread recently - we should put our comments, etc on the unofficial thread.

???? Eh? Were you watching the same game as me? Rooney was good. Ronaldo was awesome!

I agree with flattie - at the end of the day he HAS scored a goal which has to be better than not scoring one! Surely scoring your rebounded penalty should be worth more points than doing nothing.

having seen the game live i would give Agger two assists - one for the long cross to garcia - and then his header flicking on gerrard's corner which was turned in by carragher.

...and there was me wishing i had enough to choose finnan instead.. :D

from telegraph website:

Man of the Match: Cristiano Ronaldo. Terrified City in the early minutes and his great cross made the opening goal for Wayne Rooney. Then settled United’s nerve by scoring the final one himself.

The Telegraph website usually uses SUNDAY Telegraph MOTM awards which have nothing to do with TFF so please ignore these.

Mom Rooney and KC

Post by svwhat »

Thought Rooney was MoM by a mile and thought he had 2 KC's - Will he get one for pressing to get ball off City defender and getting it to Heinze for the cross when saha scored?

Are you kidding - Rooney was good, but not MOM, Ronaldo was superb. Thought Vidic and Ferdinand have more call on MOM than Rooney.

No KC for Rooney for 2nd goal, only Heinze

The cross to Ronaldo took a slight deflection off one defender and then a significant one off another. No KC chance.

Would have thought the first to Heinze is unlikely too, but possible.

Where is Bram this weekend?

Bram's predictions are on his site and his view is that it is possible Rooney could get a KC.
