FULHAM
C Jensen - No assist

EDIT : I suppose it could go down as an own goal but it's unlikely.

Any chance it will go down as an OG?

Kuyt (No KC as far as I can see - Keeper fumbled it after a Crouchy header)

That's a second Kuyt goal by the way. Not a correction on the first.

Just got back from Old Trafford these are my verdicts on the goals :

Saha (pen) poss KC for Rooney as he was the man fouled. It was a throw from Neville, Rooney let it run accross him and would have got to it but was then brought down. Not sure if this constitutes him being in possession as I don't think he touched Neville's throw in. I'll leave it for Bram to decide!

Ronaldo direct free kick - no KC

Vidic - Neville KC

Man Utd v Pompey

Watched on the net

Saha (Rooney brought down pretty sure he will be deemed to be in possession)

Ronaldo

Vidic (Neville)

Man of the match should be Neville in my opinion but could be Rooney.

From that description there should be a KC. If a defender gets in the way it cancels out previous KCs, but not the keeper.

Rooney would definitely have got to the Neville throw in so imo he was in possession, but not seen any replays as only saw it at the ground. Fingers crossed - I need the KC!

This thread could be a lot better. May be time to reconsider and allow a bit of (informed) speculation?

Why?? Apart from the people at the grounds and those watching streams, noone will have seen the goals yet and thus be unable to make an informed decision. If you want speculation, go to the speculation thread. This really shouldnt still be an issue!!

Not an issue - just 11 replies in 5 hours. If I hear on R5 that someone has scored a penalty then although I haven't seen it it would still benefit people if I posted. The draconian rules you have applied to this thread seem to have diminished it popularity and its value.

Well here's the thread to post and also look through.

http://www.fantasyfootballuk.co.uk/view ... hp?t=15996

Just further down the page.

Can't see the problem myself.

One thread if you have seen the goals which should be as near as dam it to 100% correct (what Info I am looking for)

A second Thread for people who have heard it on Sky Sports / Five Live / A Website including the reliable BBC text.

After his assist, robbie, did Neville get injured?

Or is he worth risking keeping that extra week?

:D

The problem is that no one has posted anything as they are straightjacketed by the thread rules. If I hear on R5 that someone has scored a penalty, why should I not be allowed to post it here just beacause I didn't see it? The adherence to these rules has inevitably killed the thread.

Have some sympathy with Flags view. As long as you state your source don't see the problem. Adds to the "excitement" of will I won't I get a KC etc

Stayed on for the full 90 mins today Dalglynch, and looked full of running, he actually could have had a hat-trick too  James pulled off 3 good saves from him. Definite contender for MOM in my opinion.

We seem to be getting the error messages again this evening, so if I can't post my thoughts on KCs on here later, they should be on my website shortly after the end of MOTD.

Looks like no Assist for Rooney as he did not touch ball.

Seven matches, seven wins, seven clean sheets ... here are my thoughts on potential KCs after watching MOTD:

*** Now confirmed on TFFO ***

Bolton 0-1 Wigan
McCulloch (Kilbane)

Charlton 1-0 Man City
D Bent (Thomas)

Fulham 1-0 Everton
C Jensen (-)

Liverpool 2-0 Reading
Kuyt (Gerrard, Crouch)
Kuyt (Pennant, Crouch)

Man United 3-0 Portsmouth
Saha (-) Rooney didn't touch the ball before being fouled, so wasn't technically in possession
Ronaldo (-)
Vidic (Neville)

Newcastle 0-1 Sheffield Utd
Webber (Montgomery)

Watford 2-0 Middlesbrough
Woodgate og (Bouazza)
Young (-)

Flag - this is where this thread is indispensable. I tend not to read much into anything until Sir Bram gives his two penneth worth. Hope this doesn't come over as brown-nosing

I generally wait for Bram's view before totting up my points for the day.
Just happened to be watching the Toon/Blades game and saw Webbers goal, so I posted accordingly.

A small volume of posts helps the thread IMO

Even I sussed out from MoTD that Rooney is unlikely to be getting an assist for the penno. Thanks to Bram and others I am still learning the finer points of assists :D think I am 95% there
