What a poor poor MOM decision. I have Nolan in my team but I have to say that Jaaskelainen was by far the MOM. I watched the whole game on sky, he made 4 world class saves, Nolan scored a great goal but IMO no better then Lamps at the weekend.
This smacks of the reporter not giving the decision any thought, as I say I have Nolan but it really peevs me off when this happens. IMO the worst MOM decision EVER

John Ley gave the official MotM to Kevin Nolan

The Goal from Nolan came from a Primus clearance so no KC

Watched the whole game, have to agree, Jussi was MoM for Bolton by miles.

MoM for Pompey was prob Matt Taylor (def first half).

How it was given to Nolan I will never know......

I guess the silver lining is that theyve cut the motm points from 5 to 3.

I'd be happy enough for them todo away with it all together thogh next season but it wont happen.

I dind't see the game, haven't read a report, but as soon as I heard the result and scorer I thought to myself, "I bet Nolan gets MOTM."

Lo and behold.....

Motm players for the season...

Sol Campbell
Alonso
Essien
Parker
Woodgate

A wise man speaketh. I was at the game and Ronaldo was the best by a mile but where's the story in that?
It was interesting that even on the podcast they stated, with regards points for MOTM, that some like it and some hate it. For them to admit to it I would suspect they must have had a huge amount of negative feedback. The move from 5 points to 3 is a basic admission that they've got it wrong without going so far as to highlight their mistake by getting rid of it completely.
