Is anybody going to stick their neck out and predict MOTM in games theyve seen? Hoping/half expecting Henry and Lamps. Any chance for Gerrard?

Carvalho was superb in the absence of Terry

Lampard's passing was awful but he got 2 goals

The lazy journo would give it to Lampard

As Chelsea won then the Telegraph will normally
give it to a Fulham player

Wouldn't be shocked if Gerrard got it, he was always involved and did some awesome tackling back in the last 20 minutes particularly. However I expect they will give it to KUyt, he looked good and the first touch for his goal was sublime.

For what it's worth, I thought the best player over 90 minutes was actually Dawson, but when you lose three nil you know that player won't get MOTM.

Under no circumstances should Henry get MOM, he was truly awful yesterday. I was at the match and most of the crowd were calling for him to be replaced!!

He did well on the goals, but in the first half especially, he looked dissinterested!

However, if he can get 13 points playing like that, imagine what he can do when hes on song

unless they were are 'keeper and have kept it from being 6 or 7. I think Robinson go tone last season when he had conceded 3

Having seen MoTD I would say ronaldo should get MoM.

Not sure about the others - think it will be a bit of a lottery - hope I get the bonus ball!

You could say he's the Tiger Woods of football, in the sense that when he's up for it he's unstoppable, and when he's not then it's obvious for all to see but even then he is still capable of a moment of brilliance.

I watched in full the Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd games yesterday:

I would give MOM's to:

Gerrard
(always involved, got stronger and more influential as the game went on)

Essien
(Thought he had a very good game yet again)

Ronaldo
(A Constant threat throughout and head and shoulders above the rest of the United players)

Watched the Newcastle / Everton game before and thought Parker had a good game.

Here's hoping Lampard get the vote in the Chelsea game

Only game I saw enough of to comment:

Gerrard was a reasonable shout. I'd also name Sissoko (Sky MOTM) and Kuyt, both who were nominated as candidates by the Sunday Tele reporter (different to the Daily Tele reporter who awards it I think).

LFC website top 5 votes to date:

Kuyt 1242
Gerrard 1138
Sissoko 528 (inc mine)
Gonzalez 309
Alonso 302

When do we find out the weekend MoM's? I'd have thought we'd have heard of them today.

Just watched the Newcastle v Everton game - Milner was the best player for Newcastle and Lescott for Everton IMO.

Couldn't agree more Pottster, Milner named as MOTM by stadium announcer, but Lescott stood out for me, too.

I thought Lescott was outstanding and also Cahill. With the goal behind him I'd fancy Cahill to get the nod.

Personally, I thought Kuyt was very poor for 70 minutes.

In the third game I watched in full I think Essien was probably the best player on the pitch but Lampard will take it for a solid display and a couple of goals.

My MotM predictions:

These dont represent my own opinions, im just guessing who tele reporters will pick.

Arsenal v Sheff United : Henry
Villa v Charlton : Petrov
Fulham v Chelsea : Lampard
Liverpool v Tottenahm : Gerrard
Man City v West Ham : Barton
Boro v Blackburn : Pederson
Reading v Man U : Ronaldo
Wigan v Watford : King
Newcastle v Everton : Cahill

Very cynical of me. And so far this season ive found the tele reporters chose neither the big-names (as above) nor the actual deserved candidate. They chose secret option number 3 - player who noone else noticed was even playing.

When will we find out? 00.01am or will it be a lot later?
