Re: TFFE CL SLs
I was thinking that was only open to current Two-Footed Challenge members. If it is open to all I will have a crack at that please.SamD wrote: ↑12 Sep 2017, 17:34 @ Rick: no sign of general Fiso league yet for Champions League game. There's almost three weeks for a mod to set one up though:
"10.7 No further Private or Paid Private Leagues entries will be accepted after 23:59 (BST) on Saturday, September 30, 2017"
Thanks also for invite to join Ricks Footy Challenge for CL game. Shall be in shortly.
Reminder to anyone still reading:
Deadline to enter free-to-play Two-Footed Challenge prize league is 7:45pm tonight. Post both team names here to receive SL PIN. Currently, 20 are awaiting kick off.
There is a super league prize this year, so it would make sense for someone (a Mod preferably) to set a Fiso one up.

It's worth remembering that each team can only be entered into three private mini leagues. So remember to save one slot for the Fiso league when it's set up.

Can you set an official FISO League up Ashers?
Don't think we have one yet.
Scrap that. Just seen you already have.

Lots of points about yesterday. Can I just confirm that each team is to be unique? That's my understanding. So 22 different players.

Dual strategy
Format of this SL enables each manager to enter two unique TFF teams. Whether sides differ by one player or all 11 is up to entrant. Idea is that different strategies should help sustain interest and prize chase through the season.
It has been utilised in the TFF Premier League Fiso £22 league that's been running for almost a decade:

TFFE Champions League
Looks like Telegraph wants to drum up TFFE entry numbers before second round of group games on Tue-Wed 26-27 Sept:
T&C rule 14.6 Second Chance League:

This is the manager that has amassed the highest number of points in the Second Chance League by the end of the final Event on Saturday, May 26, 2018. The Manager whose team finishes with the second highest number of points shall win £200. The Manager whose team finishes with the third highest number of points shall win £100. The manager that finishes at the top of the Golden Boot leaderboard in the Second Chance League shall win £200. All teams entered into the competition from Tuesday, September 19, 2017 onwards are automatically entered into the Second Chance League.

New free CL KO game
From Telegraph:
This season's Champions League edition of Telegraph Fantasy Football started from the group stage for the very first time and we're aware some of our loyal TFF managers may have missed out.
Because the game has always been such a success in years gone by, we're teaming up with Genting Bet to bring you a brand new, separate and free-to-play version, starting from the knockout stage.
Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo or Kane? It's up to you. With £5,000 to be won you'll definitely want to start thinking about who you want in your line-up, so get in early and pick your team today.
Already a player?
If you're already a Telegraph Fantasy Football Europe manager and picked a team for the group stage, your team willl be automatically entered into the knockout stage leaderboard too.
You'll therefore be in the running for both prizes, £10,000 and £5,000 respectively, and you don't need to worry about taking all of your points with you as the knockout stage leaderboard won't include them.
Because both versions of the game have a transfer amnesty running up until the first knockout stage kick-off, it'll be a level playing field for the £5,000 prize.

Re: 2017-18 TFFE Champions League * KO stage from Tues 13 Feb *
Is the ko table wrong. None of my teams seem to be on it. On league tabs, public, last 16 table I have no position for any teams

Think it only shows a position if your team is in the top 100. But one of my teams is 225th for the week but 39th for last 16 league,I thought all teams were automatically entered into last 16 league?

Re: 2017-18 TFFE Champions League * KO stage from Tues 13 Feb *
I’m quite new to TFF and this is the first time I’ve played champs league version, but could someone please tell me if I entered some teams in now for the knockout stages is there a seperate leaderboard for it? I can only see a leaderboard for tournament league which was obviously from the start/group stages.
I was under the impression there was a seperate prize pot for the knockout stages from the way the telegraph have been mailing me.. very confused

It's all very confusing Biddles
ronny seems to imply that he can see a KO leaderboard but I tried on both the PC and the App and i'm bigger if I can see it.
the T&Cs for the game defo imply that this comp is only open to entries added since 7th dec:
From T&Cs relating to KO Prize:
This Leaderboard is made up of team entries made after the completion of the group stages of the Champions League. Any teams entered from Thursday, December 7 onwards will automatically be entered into the Knockout Stages Leaderboard.
...but I double checked with TFF towers yesterday after seeing Sam Ds post (which suggested otherwise) and they confirmed that most definitely all teams are eligible:

Think I’ll email them later as it’s very misleading. And as I’ve purchased 8 credits specifically to be entered into a knockout stage leaderboard because of them (the telegraph) I think they need to sort it out. I mean there is no way I would enter teams now to be put in that tournament league as the people at the top of that have got ridiculous points.

I did exactly the same and bought 8 teams. I thought it was only teams entered after the 7th December.Biddles32 wrote: ↑14 Feb 2018, 14:41 Think I’ll email them later as it’s very misleading. Yeah it did say that but I read somewhere else that teams that had been entered into the main game will also be entered. If I buy new teams tonight will they be entered or not,Anyone got any idea?

Re: 2017-18 TFFE Champions League * KO stage from Tues 13 Feb *
It's pretty clear - all teams entered before the KO stages will start from zero for the KO LEAGUE, but maintain their overall score for the overall leaderboard. Any teams entered after Tuesday matches will score from Wednesday and still be entered into the KO LEAGUE, but obviously have no points from Tuesday matches.

Now seems sorted - those teams which should have appeared in the "last 16" league are now there. Good to see a prompt update too.

Ive got a team that scored 100 points this week which should be in the top 100 but isnt showing, only my best team is showing, so not sure its sorted if others have more than 1 showing and old and new teams.
