Robot has asked for my opinion on the different manager cock ups.

My view is that while we shouldn't penalise people for silly mistakes, we should not completely ignore the rules. So Benteke was clearly in error so fair enough change to Lukaku as that was clearly the intention. Also Rosicky was obviously a mistake. robot immediately picked up these and so I agree that the right thing to do is to allow those errors to be corrected. However deadlines are deadlines, why were the rest of us scrambling around to meet the deadline while having, at least in my case, several competing demands on our time that particular night. So I think that Spencer should suffer a penalty, albeit a well watered down one. How about allowing him to remove both the strikers that he left in his team and to have just one star player. That would mean that we'd need to allocate him other slots in the mini draft.

On the other hand if everyone else thinks that there shouldn't be an penalty at all, I'll certainly go along with that decision.

No one has come back saying there should be a penalty/stick with the mistakes so have corrected the table accordingly,(will do with geoff when sorted, see next post) my view would have been that if any cash was involved it should have been stick with rules, but as it's only friendly let them go this time, also the 3 involved are at the bottom of the table so shouldn't effect the outcome.

Geoffv team is a bit of a mess!! a combination of the rosicky issue now compounded by me rushing(I was very un wified yesterday with limited access) my interpretation of his pm, without looking at his previous pick and geoff picking another eliminated player.

Anyway team currently sits in a 2-5-3 formation with 2 players that are out of the comp.

Geoff: Seleyzynov plays for Ukraine who went out about a week ago

Simplist solution once geoff explains why he wants eliminated players is to remove those 2 picks and then re pick 2 players in the correct formation.

Either I am going mad or geoff's brain is elsewhere and not in the euro world

I've managed to sort my mess out I think.

Yes sorted, you have gained a slight advantage by sorting it after the round of 16 has started, but your picks are not through any extra gained knowledge,combined with being near the bottom and having 3 other players eliminated yesterday I think just move on as it is.

Have greyed out the eliminated players and biggest losers yesterday were vannie/Striker/streety and geoffv.

now for finding 36 more non unique players!

Those penalties occurred because the error resulted in a player earning points they shouldn't of whereas the other errors were rectified before the players played. The penalty on top of the points the illegal player earn't is because of the continual need to adjust the score.
Iv'e got no issue in giving them back for the purpose of this game to make it an even playing field but the rule should stick for the premier game when it starts.
What are other thoughts.

Spencer missed star pick/dropping deadline- still got the players no penalty
Geoffv head at glastonbury picking illiminated players/ not dropping illiminated players/ sorted out after round of 16 started no penalty.
rinky wrote benteke by mistake instead of lukaka, still got lukaka no penalty


workie and spencer picked a player already in another team and played him, points scored plus 10 point penalty.

We definitely stick to the rule that anyone gaining points illegally not only has those points deducted but has a 10 pt penalty.

Next we'll be having someone complaining that they should keep the points that they gained illegally.
