Yep I remember our late chats, mainly about the sky? Game if I recall. In the good old days when you could see the weeks post all on page 1 lolAyns wrote:Welcome back AJC. You may not remember me, but I recall having late night posts re drinking Shiraz and eating burnt pizza, oh it must be 7 or 8 years ago. Nothing much changed here.
Sted I've been playing TFF and the Sun FF for all the time I've been a ghost, had a nice 1k win in one of the Tff side games when on the very 1st fiso Wales trip, but in general ff has changed so much over the years, a lot like fiso. So much so I've slowly become a non leaguersted wrote:That's gotta be the longest ban in TFF history. You must be worse than Groomy

It's TFF's new approach to point scoring. If the team wins, points are scored as previously. But if a team is knocked out of the World Cup, all the players score nul points.wizardoffire wrote:bravo TFF must have the apprentice back... failed to update Colombia and France's points
Edit; Pity they've corrected the scores by reverting to their boring old scoring system, I always enjoy a bit of a change.

367points with 8 changes left, Brazilian block and all XIANG players left in the comp still
160th place for starting XI, think Brazil could come unstuck without Silva & Neymar

Re: TFF World Cup 2014
389 points with 9 transfers left though plan on using 3 tonight on Blind, Robben and RVP. Will give me 3 Germans, 4 Dutch (already have Cillessen), De Bruyne and 3 Argies. Have worked out if Argentina and Holland win I should have a minimum of 5 players playing in all remaining games (with around 8 or 9 in the final) by bringing in a couple of Brazilians for their Germany match and their 3rd/4th place play-off game Am top of one super league and third in another but hoping my subs left will help recoup the 38 point difference. I missed out on Mullers hat trick and Benzemas haul against the Swiss but other than that cannot argue with any bad luck or obvious misses, just behind better players! Am currently 720ish overall.

Re: TFF World Cup 2014
It would be great Jobmeister. I am hopeful that most of the top teams aren't Argentina heavy as if they are then I maybe dropping off quicker than I would like!
Didn't have any Belgium players though so I don't need to make additional transfers.

Unlucky for Cilessen owners. Not only do they miss out on potential penalty saves you also miss out on the full match clean sheet!wizardoffire wrote:thanks Van Gaal for subbing Cillessen

Edited (c.f my last post)
Mind you if Jag now wins, I'll be sending him my bill for the time spent editing @ £120/hr. So £2 for one minute. Call it a pint!

Actually I don't mind confirming that as you might suspect, given my leading team's name, that its composition isn't a million miles away from Jagduracel's team.
What might surprise you a little more though is that I honestly hope that that team will disappear down the leader board at the speed of light, as if it were to continue to thrive, my more important fish elsewhere will seriously disappoint me. How often does someone in third place make such a statement with no b*llsh*t element whatsoever involved?
Now that I have more than met his challenge, the dead domestic bird is morally obliged to tell us something meaningful about his best team in any comp.

My best team in the Sun comp disappointingly currently contains eight Argies (and three Colombians), viz 4 defenders 3 strikers and Maria
Though a lesser pointed team does have eight germans and one Messi together with a heroic but now useless costarican and the ubiquitous colombian. That could be regarded as my best team.

Now that she's been ruled out of the semi final, and looking at the rest of that team, I feel an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical coming on.dead parrot wrote:My best team in the Sun comp disappointingly currently contains eight Argies (and three Colombians), viz 4 defenders 3 strikers and Maria

Re: TFF World Cup 2014
Hi everyone, I'm currently placed around 250 with 1 transfer left so in no danger of catching some of you guys!
I am however currently top of my super league by a mere 10 points - any advice of what to do with my remaining transfer?
Currently I have 3 argies (inc di Maria), 4 Germans, 3 Dutch and Oscar from Brazil. I have Robben, Rvp, muller & Messi....
As I get 2 games from all players except di Maria I'm guessing the best thing to do is replace him now rather than wait, or just swap someone for the final?
What would you do?

Only 2 games guaranteed if they win - probable/possible squad rotation if 3/4 playoff?

Thanks for the good wishes, but as I mentioned above I've been hoping that Amsterdam Weekend drops like stone off the leader board as with lots more dosh at stake in the Sun comp, I'm currently watching games drinking German beer and stuffing myself with bratwurst, while wearing a red, black and yellow shirt.beachboy wrote:here we go again
